Hodges Geelong

I would strongly advise against renting with Hodges Geelong as a tenant or landlord.Correspondence with Hodges is extremely unprofessional. For a company that has 'relationships at the forefront of everything we do' the lack of ability to return emails, phone calls and action URGENT repairs is uncanny. Emails asking for updates or any information regarding urgent repairs went seemingly ignored and brushed aside. For those who are unfamiliar, urgent repairs are to be completed within 14 days. Not ignored and completed after 10 months.They had numerous errors with their rent withdrawal system that had to be chased up by us as tenants nearly every month. Taking out rent earlier than the contract stated and attempting to withdraw MORE than the contacted amount. They also attempted to withdraw rent TWICE after our tenancy had ended. These errors eventually resulted in our rent being overdrawn, which took MONTHS to be refunded after our tenancy ceased. It also took a minimum of 5 emails and numerous phone calls that went unanswered requesting an update or any information at all about when we would receive the rent they overdrew.Simply read the reviews outlining similar experiences below, as these paint a very telling picture of how this company views and treats their clientele. They clearly seem to care about their ‘online reputation’ more than providing people with secure and safe housing. Avoid Hodges at all costs

We had a great experience working with Jeff and the team to sell our house. Jeff was great to deal with from our first engagement through to the auction (and beyond) - super approachable, not salesy and was really helpful walking us through the process. Would highly recommend!

He has great knowledge of the local market which made a big difference in the property promotion and keeping buyers engaged.

He went above & beyond with his customer service & was attentive speaking to us about the sale / auction process & our concerns which was very reassuring considering it was the first time we had gone to auction. Throughout our dealings with Marcus & the team at Hodges, they were extremely friendly & helpful & made the sale of our house a really pleasant experience and I'd highly recommend him to anyone selling in the Geelong region.

We attended a house (to buy) inspection on 16/2/23 at 2/9 Sheedy Road Hoppers Crossing. The estate agent, Darryl Geyle, was aggressive and rude towards myself and others there to inspect the property. It was appalling. We wont be attending any further inspections with this company.

I hope they treat their vendors better than their buyers!! Once deposit was paid there was no communication about settlement/pre settlement inspection/key hangover unless initiated by us.Keys were then handed over in a used envelope. Very poor customer service Hodges Geelong and team!!
