Booked a large group for dinner for my birthday. Toby, Robyn and Lauchie were so accommodating from the moment we booked to the moment we walked out the door. All guests commented on how amazing the food was, which is always the case each time we visit. Thank you so much Herd for a memorable night. x

Gorgeous place for a lovely intimate dinner out. Beautiful food & cosy atmosphere without being pretentious. We had the duck mushroom pie (incredible), the curry which was perfection, & those triple(?) cooked hand cut chips which I can never go past. Great attentive & friendly service and lovely wines.

1st thoughts are comfy and cosy. Not in your face and gives that local comfort feel with the feature of class. I had duck pie and my significant other had mushroom pie. Really good without being popping great.If it had an open fireplace the ambience would blow my mind.Wil definately come back and recommend.I spoke too soon. The Chocolate Souffle really popped!" Only just remembered to take a photo of it before I finished it..(see last photo).......all accompanied with great customer service."

I thoroughly recommend Herd Bar and Grill. This place is the kind of place that makes you feel good from the first second you step in, from the amazing atmosphere, the extremely friendly staff and the smell of the great food.I have travelled all over Europe and being European myself, I'm always expecting nicely served and tasty food when I go out. I ordered the market fish and I was expecting a classic grilled fish served with nice veggies and vinaigrette but instead of that I received a plate full of taste in which every bite was an explosion of flavour in my mouth. Even the burger my husband ordered was gourmet. You could tell that the chef put all his experience and love into his meals.A big thank you to all of you because you deserve it. This place has been saved in our favourites and we will be visiting again.

The service was impeccable, and the food was fresh and tasty. The steaks we had were cooked perfectly, and the butter on top tasted amazing. The chocolate souffle is a must get dessert. It was heavenly!

Absolutely wonderful experience dining at Herd Bar and Grill. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The ambiance of the venue was perfect for a dinner date or catch up with friends and family.The team were all so friendly, welcoming, very knowledgeable and able to make drink recommendations depending on the dishes we opted for (providing a couple of wine samples for those we’d not heard of before).The food, all sourced locally from the likes of Yarra Valley Dairy and Four Pillars, was absolutely delicious…seriously melt-in-your-mouth food! I’d never tried Piauillo peppers, goats curd or cafe de paris butter before, but I’m so glad I did and would eat it again.I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone and everyone passing through Healesville - 10/10

What a find. A little Gem that you must visit. Toby the owner and his wife Robyn have done an amazing job with the place. Superb and delicious food, great cocktails and very friendly staff. If you are in Healsville, do yourself a favour and check out Herd Bar and Grill.

A local resident recommended that we attend and our expectations were high. And they definitely met them. The staff were lovely, attentive but not pressuring. The food had delicious taste and the serving sizes were just right. You leave satisfied but not over filled. There was a great variety of cocktails and they were able to accommodate simple changes to suit my taste which I really appreciated. I felt like the dessert had such a homely taste and vibe, the perfect end. It’s definitely a place that you don’t feel rushed, you can sit and relaxed. Quiet enough for flowing conversation but comfortable enough to not hear everyone else’s. Smooth and just what the area needed!
