Nice stop on way home to Melbourne. Listened to Slims song a thousand times out cruising the outback. Great statue and super to see Aussie flag flying in the background.

I had heard a lot about Cunnamulla from friends that I met years ago in the 60's and I never visited there until recently around 2003. My friends when talking to me about any city attraction they would allways relate it back to what they had in Cunnamulla only it would bigger and better than what we had in the city. Arriving in Cunamulla after a long drive, I found everything they told me to be true.

Representative of a piece of Australian history. Immortalised in song.Great detail in the bronze...the plaiting in the whip, the strength shown in the hands and arms. A wonderful piece.
