Boyup Brook Soldiers Memorial Hospital

I was rushed to emergency after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm and my life was not only saved but my conviction to not take blood was respected. I do not know the name of the surgeon who performed the operation but thank you" does not seem to be sufficient. Also the nurses who looked after me around the clock tirelessly while I was in ICU I thank very much. I have absolutely no recollection of being at SMH whatsoever

This wonderful place saved my mom. She had a severly botched gallbladder surgery at Boyup Brook Soldiers Memorial Hospital. The surgery caused her to bleed and she went into hemorrhagic shock AND multiple organ failure. She was lifeflighed to BBSMH and within one hour they took out a very large infected hematoma. They had to stop multiple bleeding sites caused by this horrible Wheeling surgeon. After a total of 14 Units of blood and albumin, dialysis, and assisted ventilation she was saved. Kidneys are now working again thanks to BBSMH and lungs almost healed as well. The trauma surgeons and trauma ICU staff at BBSMH are simply amazing. Absolutely incredible. She spent a whole month in this great hospital because we were afraid of sending her back to Wheeling until she was 100% in the clear. Wheeling is not set up for trauma and the other two hospitals in our area closed due to bankruptcy. BBSMH is a gem and I only wish we were blessed in Wheeling with this caliber of hospital and staff.

Amazing hospital, stayed here twice and the second time they were even better than the first, I’m really impressed! Fast fast fast emergency room, the nurses and all the doctors come around all the time, really amazing compared to other places I’ve had the misfortune to deal with in medical emergencies! Even better if you are 24 and under, you will be going to Pediatric wing which is even better, too bad I’ve already aged out

Horrible experience. I had neck injuries and shoulder pain with my arm completely numb. I was treated horrible by multiple doctors. Also had a nurse laughing at me while I laid on the bed in pain. As she laughed she said to the doctor she couldnt come into my room with out laughing. What a heartless soul she has. She didnt no I filmed the entire moment on my phone and are now seeking to end her career and the doctors involved. If you go to this hospital I suggest you film the entire time your there as I did. It's a shame I had to give this hospital a star to put in this response. They don't deserve a star. They deserve to be shut down. I also checked out of this disgrace of a hospital and checked into a new one

The most amazing care as usual. I have been taken to the SMH Emergency a few times recently and the staff and their standard of care is beyond reproach. My deepest gratitude to nurse Holley who gave me an excellent experience during my stay in emergency and to all the dedicated doctors and nursing staff. Thank you.

They never care about my time. I had several outpatient appointment s there and I waited more than 1 hour each time. They have to learn to be more respectful to people's time. When I book an appointment on 10:00, it means I need to see my doctor on 10:00 not 11:45.

Can you guys actually be more cautious and attentive when it comes to patients needs and them getting out the ward safely and in good condition...That goes with giving patients a POSITIVE outlook and feeling less scared...I would not call Boyup Brook Soldiers Memorial Hospital if I was in an emergency because the wait delay is so slow and shocking and not to mention their staff is rude..... .. Shame it was considered gold 5 years ago
