Dentocare Dental Practice

Dentocare is an exceptional dental surgery. I arrived traumatised after a fall that left me with 3 broken teeth and a fracture in my face. Ivor was compassionate and did an extraordinary job of calming my soul. His work was exceptional and he did a remarkable job putting me back together. He consulted with Kevin and I felt like the whole team was genuinely focused on making sure that both me and my teeth felt normal. I would reccomend them to everyone.

Honestly the best experience I have ever had at the dentist! To say I am a nervous patient is an understatement. Ivor and Jess had me at ease from the moment I walked in. Ivor explained everything he did and had me laughing. I absolutely recommend Ivor. If you're looking for expert dental care then book an appointment now!

Highly recommend Ivor, I feel extremely lucky to have found him. I suffer from anxiety due to some terrible dentist experiences in the past. Though I cried when I first met him he made me laugh on the way out and reassured me he would make me smile again. He has gone the extra mile to really make me feel safe under his care, ensuring he explains everything he does. Honestly can’t thank him enough for his patience and dedication. I would definitely recommend Dentocare for everyone in your family. Ivor has a wonderful rapport for every patient, and exceptional skills with kids. And if you are a lapsed or nervous patient, this is the family dentist you should see. Good, honest, thorough and genuine dental care, without the unnecessary up-sell for un required extras. Be aware of the hidden costs they don't tell you upfront.I had a cracked tooth and called to make an appointment because this was the closest dentistry and I didn't t want to wait. I specifically told them that it would be my 1st visit and wanted to know how much it was likely to cost me after describing in details what the problem was. The quote was around $300, so I went thinking if its under $400, its OK.Just to be clear, I have no issue with the dentist's work, he was professional and did a good job. But to my surprise, the bill was over $700. What they didn't tell me was they they would also charge , if I recall correctly, around $75 for the initial consultation, around $100 for x-rays, $35 for the gel and $185 for clearing the teeth (without telling me) on top of whatever they quoted for fixing the tooth itself. I remember the dentist saying something like 'I will just do a bit of cleaning' with me lying on the bed with my mouth wide open. Isn't it just great way to charge more whilst you have the patient in a compromising position and couldn't talk?In other words, they hid all these add-on costs for a new patient like myself and underquoted the full cost of such procedure, knowingly and willfully. I saw my usual dentist in Chatswood a few weeks later and was told their total costs for the same procedure would be between $300-400.Needless to say, I am very disappointed with the experience and felt I was taken advantage of by Dentocare. In hindsight, I should have argued with them on the spot and refuse to pay the hidden costs.If you have to use them, ask them very clearly how much it would cost before they do anything, cos they won't tell ya.

My dentist Dr Ivor provided excellent services. He is skilled, thorough, experienced and l felt very comfortable. Came for teeth cleaning and permanent wire retainer bonding glue repair. Very happy with my teeth cleaning and mouth wire repair results! l would highly recommend him.

Great service, great care (I travel half an hour for Ivor’s service), and am a very long term patient of 15+ years and Ivor has always looked after me and my family. He is extremely personable and always follows up and remembers momentous occasions you have shared with him. Today I was looked after by him and his assistant Anita, who was a great reflection and addition to the service Ivor offers

Dr Ivor Gafen and Anita remade my teeth after having chipped the front two badly.Hadn't gone to a dentist in years expecting the worst but they did a remarkable job and made it a fantastic experience.Great dentist and people.

I went to Dentocare as per a recommendation from a friend. The best dental practice I have been to. Ivor is so good, he puts you at ease at the start, explains what is happening during the dental treatment (pain free by the way). Mel and Jess are very friendly also. I recommend Dentocare without any hesitation to anyone.
