A friend recommended we stop at Karuah to stretch our legs, and now we always stop here on our way north. A quiet spot with a lovely view over the river. Loos are mostly clean but not spotless, a bit basic. Grab fish and chips or something from one of the bakeries along the main road and head here for lunch. Our preference was Old Mate's but I hear they're closed.

A stunning stop over on our way north. The fresh oysters & prawns are a real treat. Fill up as, well at the local garage that also has showers. A beautiful little town on the river.
