Mike C was very quick to respond and professional. The store had the same style of carpet to replace what was there. Bonus, also does blinds which was convenient.There was a bit of mess left behind from the underlay that was removed through the house, but a quick vacuum took care of it.

DO NOT USE!!!!! representative told me they would install matching carpet in the house im renting then they installed a carpet completely different color and refused to give me a discount and had to pay full price, now have one room in the house with different carpet that i have to explain to property owners thanks for putting me out of pocket by $600 guys.

After taking $1000 deposit, Carpet man left job half done. We wanted to get something done urgently but Carpet man and their representatives did not attend to our calls, emails, texts for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, they send me invoice for $1500 and they did not even finish the job. I had to get someone else to complete the job and pay them extra to fix the stuff-ups that Carpet man had created. After 3 weeks, they reply asking for $ and I told them the truth that I had gone to someone else for the job. They said that they will refund me $400. It is 2.5years now and I haven't seen or heard from them.They mention that they are family owned business but I think they are just sales people who come to your house and quote you. Then they get someone else to do the job for them.If they were the last carpet installation company, I would learn how to install carpet myself and then DIY it.

I found the Carpet Man on HiPages and read from a few reviews that they were good. The upfront quote and initial sales visit was good. Price was reasonable and I booked out a month in advance. Two days before the carpet is due to be put in, I get a call saying they can't do that day because another job has run over schedule. I had booked so far in advance because I had other trades, cleaners and photographers coming a business day after the carpet was laid. After stuffing me around, in the end they called and said they could do Friday after all.Then to top it off, I visit my townhouse a day after the job is meant to have been completed. There is old carpet and underlay left jumped in my driveway, they used my skip to dispose of the old carpet (without asking), the carpet was not finished, and no carpet had been laid on the stairs. No one communicated the delay to me. After calling the office and asking for assistance, I'm told they'll followup and get back to me. No one gets back to me. So I call again the following business day. Same thing. They'll follow up. No one gets back to me. After I call again, I'm told the job has been complete that day.A lot of stuffing around, many times. Only recommend if you have a lot of time to kill with wasted back and forth communication, and frustration. Office doesn't seem to talk to the layers. They also couldn't find my deposit and asked me to pay it again. I had to tell them again that I had paid (even after multiple communications letting them know I had paid).At least the carpet looks good.

I am happy to say after publishing a recent review regarding some negative experiences we encountered that the carpet man has been kind enough to compensate us with a reduction of cost after we contacted them and were sincerely apologetic regarding the stress we encountered

Prior to Christmas in 2016 we had Tom the salesman inspect our home for replacing our carpetHe was very accomodating and of the old school sales and organised the job to be doneWe were very distressed when one of their tradesman walked on a curtain hem and tore it badlyThe curtain could not be repaired and had to be dumpedIn addition to this the lower edges of our built in cubbard doors were damaged as they fitted the spike strips for retaining the carpet edgeThe Carpet Man have made no effort to compensate us for the loss and damage to our propertyTom has since retired but unfortunately the carpet was not layed tight enough and now is very crinkled and needs to be re stretchedOn contacting The Carpet Man we were informed that because we were out of the 12 months warranty time they could not cover the restretch under warranty We felt really bad about this because our previous carpet was layed 48 years ago and never needed to be re stretched during that timeWe have been waiting since November 2017 to have the carpet re stretchedThe new salesman after constant calling him and messaging him and emailing eventually visited and inspected the problem He informed us that he would arrange to have the problem fixed but we would have to pay for it to be doneWe weakened and agreed to have this done. After another 6 plus weeks and many un answered phone calls messages and an email to the office arrangements were made to revisit and check the carpet againAs I write this review we are still waiting for a quote to be given to us and arrangements to fix the problemWe are very discussed as to how we have been treated and are in the process of getting quotes to have the problem fixed and then approach the consumer affairs for a ruling on getting reimbursed for our expensesPlease do not deal with the people unless you want the problems we have and not get any after sales service not to mention warranty for the workmanship which was very poor and caused problems by not installing the carpet correctlyThis company is a very poor excuse of a good service provider .Do not even consider calling them go else where do a deal with a smaller operator who is prepared to do the best job and have no problem from doing sloppy workJust adding to this reviewthese people have still not contacted uswe have since had a carpet repairer in and the carpet had to have 25/30mm cut off the edge to have it fit correctly

We had carpet installed by the Carpet man, Hugh was absolutely professional competitive quote and quality carpet. The installers were very absolutely fantastic as well.
