DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Left 5 x disposables here from my wedding with the man behind the counter who told us 3 days until really. 3 days turned into 6…into 8…into 12….into TWENTY ONE. Only to turn up and find out they ruined all of our precious film - only to try and tell us it was all our fault for shooting in “low light” which was actually day light with flash on. Hard to digest that 135 exposures we’re not in the “right light”. Memories lost. Such a bummer for leaving them with these people. Thanks for nothing.

Do not develop film here!! It’s been over 2 months since getting my film developed and haven’t received themI’ve called at least 6 times and given my email address again and still received nothing. They are showing no empathy or support for the situationDO NOT GO HERE

Have had film developed here many times before and has usually been fine, often missing photos but assumed that’s been my fault, this time didn’t receive anything for a week and no reply to my email. Eventually went in to ask and was told the whole roll was blank - entirely my fault but an email letting me know would’ve been nice, or at least a reply when I asked what happened. Simply not communicating to a paying customer when an issue arises isn’t what I expect in a business.

No doubt the $105 I paid to have a picture printed, (from my phone), and framed is definitely cheaper than other such places on Smith Street.However I felt let down by a few things when I returned the next day to pick up the framed picture and I did not feel happy giving it to my friend as a gift.The print looked of very low resolution. I relied on the owner’s expertise to be able to choose the correct sized print and frame accordingly. I asked several times whether I should go with a smaller print size. I left it in his hands to determine this.The A2 size frame itself is misaligned and the corners are peeling a little. I think this may be due it being made of particleboard and overlaid with a white contact film.When I arrived to pick the item up I found a lack of customer service or care for the final product. It was a struggle to have the frame wrapped in order to protect the glass. He just didn’t seem interested. In the end I pointed to some brown paper sheet laying around and ended up taping it over the glass myself. Other places will bubble wrap a frame and even bag it so it’s easier to carry home.Reading other people’s comments makes me believe that if you have high quality film negatives to print then you will have no problems at this store. However if you have pictures taken on a phone that require a professional to determine the size and/ or tweaking of the colour image gradient then perhaps this is not the place for you.I hope the owner will take on this feedback as I feel I may have had a better experience if he showed more customer service/ care and engagement through the whole process. After all this is his business and it is in his best interest to better understand his product and customers.Unfortunately I won’t be returning as a customer. For anyone intending to utilise this store’s services I would encourage you to take your time when initially speaking to the store owner so that you can obtain clarity as to the final product.

Do not what do ever get film developed here. Destroyed four rolls of film from my wedding. In the 10 minutes I was there 3 other people came in complaining about lost film and bad processing. The worst experience I’ve had with anyone, ever.

Put in my film to be developed a few weeks ago now, and haven't been able to contact them at all. No website, no answering phone, no messaging software. Really disappointing now knowing when or if I will receive these images.

If I could give zero stars I would.Dropped film off 6+ weeks ago and each time I follow up I am tell me they will forward the original email.. The emailnever comes and they refuse to refund me what was paid even though they’ve clearly lost or destroyed my film. Don’t use this service.

I needed a last minute film development/scan on Christmas Eve. I got the digital files within the hour, the price was very reasonable and I received great quality scans. The customer service was also excellent.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Payed for my film to get developed and that same day went into lockdown so I couldn’t pick it up. Didn’t receive any confirmation email. Went to pick it up and he said they had thrown it away and wouldn’t refund any of the money. I’m really upset because the film was for one of my final projects at University and I had spent a lot of money and time on it. Honestly the service was so disheartening and just plain rude.

I'm a Fitzroy local and have been buying and developing my film at L&D photos for years. The service is great, quality good and turnaround fast, I usually take a usb with me so that film is transferred for easy digital access. The owner Joe is awesome to deal with and very knowledgeable.
