Debbies Kids Haircuts

Debbie is AMAZING! Our son got his first ever haircut today. She was soooo friendly and great with our 3yr old. She has such an amazing way with kids and understands them so much. Worth every single cent.

Debbie is awesome with kids. I took my two year old son for his first cut and her approach was great. She took time to discuss style options. Place is very well prepared with cars as a chairs and accessories to distract kids. My son mentioned Debbie few times after the visit and he said he would like to go back. We will definitely come back later.

We have been going to Debbie's for a while now. My son absolutely hates haircuts he has sensory processing around touch and we just really struggle to get it done. Debbie is fantastic. She allows extra time for him if he needs it. Only one person in the salon at a time. It's very inviting for kids with the cars they sit in to get it done and a TV if needed for distraction. What we found helped with my son was doing a stop start game for the clippers ( which obviously takes longer to get his hair done) which gave him back some control. She accommodated this for his needs and now he has just had his first haircut with no meltdowns. Definitely recommend for kids of all ages and for kids who struggle with haircuts!

I cannot recommend Debbie’s Haircuts enough! My son was traumatised after a bad hair cut experience elsewhere.. and everywhere we had tried he just became too distraught. At Debbie’s we didn’t have a single tear. Debbie was very friendly and interactive with him from the start. His new hair cut looks so good as well! Highly recommend.

Had such a wonderful experience with Debbie today. She was extremely kind and patient with my 10 month old after we had butchered his hair at home. She made my son feels so comfortable and relaxed that he didnt really realise she was cutting his hair plus she doesn't mess around and gets it done very quickly before he started getting fussy. We came in very nervous to get our super energetic 1 year old his first haircut... But not only did Debbie do an amazing job, she also made the whole process so smooth and playful that he had an absolute blast and came out smiling! We will definitely be back and would recommend Debbie to anybody

I booked an appointment with Debbie for my autistic son as she advertised sensory inclusive and specifically autism on her website. I drove over an hour to the appointment for this reason alone. I explained initially he did not like clippers and preferred scissors. Initially the haircut started with scissors and he sat still, then quickly changed to clippers as I think it was a quicker option. I was initially told this would be a longer booking to make sure to accommodate him and make him comfortable, but ultimately felt like it was rushed as there was another child waiting outside 15 minutes into the appointment, we were out in 20min and charged $50 for the sensory service!In the end myself and my daughter were asked to hold his hands and he had a lollipop shoved in his face. Overall I’m sure Debbie is a very friendly lady, but I think it is careless and dangerous to advertise Sensory inclusive and specifically autism if you do not have these skills or are going to rush and appointment and use clippers when told the child has an aversion to them.

I recently took my 2 year old son to Debbie’s for his first hair cut. Debbie has a wonderful manner and her studio is set up perfectly for children, complete with fun car chairs!I really appreciated how Debbie was receptive to my ideas and checked in with throughout. She is obviously a very experienced stylist and I couldn’t be happier with the results.Highly recommend!

Debbie is great with children, she made me almost 2 year old so comfortable and secure for his first haircut. We love the experience and really recommend her and my son's hair looks amazing!
