Great bakery, always friendly staff, pretty good coffee. Interesting spot, not far from the beach. They just need to get their coffee standard up. (It’s not bad, but could be slightly better.) And the janitors come cleaning around you first thing in the morning. (Probably should do that before they open.)

Disappointing food and coffee. Ordered poached eggs and avo on sourdough. First off, gave me bacon when I didn’t ask for it- no wonder it cost more than I expected. But nvm that. For a roughly 20 dollar bfast, it sure was one of the worst poached eggs I’ve ever had and for a bakery they didn’t know how to toast their bread. Can’t tell it was sourdough as it tasted like cardboard. The avocado was the only thing they did not mess up.Coffee below average, very weak.When the food came out, waiter didn’t even realise we did not have cutlery and we had to ask for it.Not sure about their takeaway bread but cooked food was terrible.

They served one of the best croissants andAlmond croissants is always my fave, however recently they are offering range of un resistible delicate pastries too. Coffee also not to bad.

Nice croissant and flat white, even available in decaf. Service was very friendly, only that they were putting away tables and chairs all around me felt a bit weird, I did come in the last hour before closing on a weekday and I get they want to clean up in time but it was no later than 13.15. Still a nice place to get a snack or briefly sit down.

I want to thank you for making my day.I went with 2 of my friends to have coffee and my friends told the staff that it's my birthday. Your staff insisted on giving me a free cookie for my birthday. It was my first time here, he didn't know me but this gesture is something that will definitely stay with me for ever. It's something that they didn't have to do they were already very happy and friendly and that's becoming rare already. I just wanted to say thank you again it meant a lot

Severe lack of choice, even for a weekday.Bread shelves were nearly empty, and pastries' quality and selection were abysmal for a bakery - the croissant had no butter flavour and the spanakopita croissant had 2 thumbs' worth of filling.Most disappointingly was the miche... I've bought sourdough from many artisanal bakeries so am abit perplexed to encounter this many holes" in a loaf; half the loaf is effectively air. Very disappointed and won't be a repeat customer."

Great coffee, eats and Sonoma consistently recruits some of the friendliest staff down by the beach!Love a barrista that remembers your name and your order. Even more so when they serve you before official opening time when you forget what day it is.This lamington is divine!

I’ve lived locally here for 5 years and regularly go to Sonoma in the mornings however the new staff change over has been so poor. I appreciate new staff and mistakes can happen but these staff are so rude even when politely asking them about an order they have missed they will ignore you all together and lack basic manners. Will defo be changing back to one of the less abusive coffee shops on Curlewis Street!!
