Great place to stay but quite a trek up the hill! Make sure the gas is working!

LENGTHY STORY BUT WORTH A READ.WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.My partner booked this property so he could have a beautiful setting to propose to me. It was supposed to be a magical evening.Whilst the location was amazing and the cabin was gorgeous unfortunately at approximately midnight the power to the entire cabin went out. We were in pitch blackness, there was no aircon and the fans were not working so it be became very hot and very stuffy, we called the phpne numbers on the sheet left at the property however no one answered, I called approximately 6 times, no answer and no return call. So I sent a txt, no response.Given the fact that the food in the fridge would have gone bad, the fans erent working it became bery uncomfortable to be there, so unfortunately, given that no one responded to us we felt like no one was coming to help (a fair assumption in my opinion) and made the decision to leave and drive all the way home.I contacted the management of the property the following monday as no one was answering on the sunday either and advised of the situation, we asked for a partial refund given we paid hundreds for just one night and couldn't even finish our stay.They replied advising that once they were made aware of the situation they made steps to rectify the power being restored by 6am and whilst they did offer a complementary night I advised that wasn't suitable as we would beed to spend hundreds more on a other night just to get the free complementary night and we aren't in a position to be able to do that for quite some time.Then they proceeded to ignore my further emails for approximately 4 weeks until one day I finally got a response advising my request for a partial refund was declined.We cannot believe that they would be so incredibly unprofessional in a situation like this.They messed up by not answering out initial phone calls for help, we had no idea they were coming to help because they never advised if such and then refusing to answer and ignoring our emails AND theyre refusing to appropriately compensate us for the issues we faced.Don't ever stay at this property because if something goes wrong they won't help you! Worst customer service I have ever encountered in my entire life. And to make it worse we still haven't been apologized to for not being able to finish our stay.Disgraceful!!!

We love it, it's out of this world. Can't believe we found this treasure. This is definitely our most favourite place so far on our travels, the room was luxurious and of a very high standard of cleanliness and appointed beautifully. The fittings are superb with every detail in place and with added personal touches that make it perfect. The hosts are lovely, Tony delivered our breakfast each morning, and shared his local knowledge of great surf spots and places of interest for us to visit. The food was fantastic too, we had a seafood platter banquet to celebrate our anniversary, it was huge with lobster and home made desert afterward. We couldn't finish all our meal but I'm still dreaming of it. Everything about this place was perfect, we're coming back for sure and definitely having the Seafood platter again.

Perfect secluded romantic forest retreat for couples. But only a short drive to the beach and town amenities.

So quiet and so private, all you hear is birds and cicadas. Beautiful cool breeze. Perfect time away.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon doing a road trip down the coast and booked in here for 3 nights. When we arrived we noticed straight away the fly screen was full of holes (which we were later told is because of a kookaburra) and when we walked inside it felt so hot, stuffy and musty and were disappointed to find pedestal fans and open windows as our only cooling option - I didn't think to check if the cottage had aircon when booking as you assume for $300 a night that you're getting aircon?The decor was really dated and tacky - might suit some peoples tastes but definitely not ours and I didn't feel comfortable in there, especially not on the leather couch with flaked off parts.We contacted Penny the owner regarding the fly screen and she said her husband Tony would come and fix it. He eventually did come with a roll of fly screen but I don't know why this hadnt been fixed before our stay.We were quite unhappy with Tony's attitude - he was condescending to us when I told him we weren't happy with the cottage and it wasn't what we expected for $300 per night. He said they have a ton of 9 star reviews but 'there's always one who's got complaints' - I can't say I have ever complained about a hotel and usually just deal with it if we don't like something but given the price we paid and my high expectations I was just really disappointed, and upset by that comment! I've worked in customer service, so was surprised that Tony did not attempt to hear us out at all, he made me so upset by his lack of empathy and understanding that I had to walk away as I was getting teary.We ended up leaving- we didn't want to be there after this whole ordeal, and we managed to find last minute accommodation elsewhere. We would rather wear the $900 cost. Fortunately Penny contacted us later to offer a partial refund.

Beautiful location and accommodation. Picked fresh pomegranates, rambutans, and starfruit from the tree for breakfast. Amazing friendly hosts. We went to check out and say goodbye and ended up chatting for over an hour. Will be back again.

If you want relaxation come here. I have never been so relaxed in my life. Not another human being to be seen, just awesome distant views of the ocean and closer views of a well maintained garden which brings birds, oh and kangaroos. Bring your own food so you won’t have to leave when you get hungry. There’s a gas stovetop and a microwave but no oven - don’t worry, you’ll manage as you will only want to sit on the deck and look at the scenery.

Absolutely amazing property with epic views of the coast and so peaceful. Would definitely recommend coming for a look

Well appointed split level apartment in a lovely bush setting. Private with elevated views to the ocean and beach glimpses.Wish we had time to stay longer.Easy access for the agile but difficult for the infirm.No internet, phone reception 1 bar.
