Delicious, hearty and country food. Reasonable price and the highlight was a terrific hot chocolate on a cold day. Good job ruby

10 stars. Definitely give this place a go. Meals and drinks are all super fresh and delicious. Has to be one of the best burgers I've had in years. Staff is also friendly and very accommodating.

$17 Ham n Cheese toasty (take away).Walked back to the car and discovered the ham was so thin it was see thru. Toasty was virtually tasteless. Poor quality ingredients.Typically for $17 you would get something substantial.. maybe like a Rubens.Small country town offering $17 Toasties should probably get this right. Came away feeling ripped off.Service was good, Cafe looked clean.

Chicken and Leek soup (spelt ‘leak’ on the counter top sign) was so packed full of salt that it was virtually inedible. It looked good and the chunky chicken was nice. When I spoke to staff they said that is how it should be and to stir it. I said I would give it a try and was told they would check back in 5 minutes. Moments later I could hear her complaining back to kitchen staff - very unprofessional. I was not checked upon.

Arrived for brunch about 10.30 on a Saturday morning. All other diners were finished/finishing. We ordered brekky and coffee. Coffees arrived and they were nice. Everyone else left. We were literally the only customers in the place and there were about 4 staff. 40 minutes later, still no food, so I asked if it was coming. Wi-Fi was blamed that caused our order not to go through to the kitchen? Sure, that might happen, but we were the only people there, nobody came and collected our empty, cold coffee mugs, there were no water jugs left, no staff wondered why 2 guys were sitting in a cafe looking bored and hungry. We would’ve just cancelled the food but since you order and pay first, we continued to wait. One of us got the spinach with a side of breakfast burrito. OMG so much spinach outside under the burrito, seriously didn’t need that much! Apologies were given which was all well and good and the offer of another coffee, but I would’ve thought something else may have been offered (partial refund, voucher, muffin, etc). Odds are, won’t be back.

Food was nice. Avocado on toast with a fried egg for $26 is pricey, and $4 for a soy babycino (a small shot of frothy soy milk) is the most I've ever paid anywhere by far (E.g. in nearby towns or Melbourne they're between zero and $1.50). Won't be coming back.-Reply to owner: We live locally, so understand local pricing. I discounted the cost of the Easter surcharge from both prices listed above, actual amounts were higher. I gave this feedback in the hope that you might see that this is a lot to charge for a small shot of soy milk and may discourage parents with young children from coming in. Good luck with your business, we did enjoy the food and wish you all the best.

Dropped in for lunch as we were driving through Kyneton. Beautiful place with very friendly owners and stuff. Their food was very fresh and very tasty. We had calamary and eggs with mushrooms and both dishes were amazing (a bit too big for us but we still finished them)! The coffee was great too. We will definitely be back next time we are in Kyneton. Thank you!
