We've been living up in Mandurah for 30 odd years and never been down here, decided it was time to change that and had a thoroughly enjoyable time, there's a cafe (but beware it's not open every day and closes early afternoon), we particularly enjoyed the machinery museum but the arts and crafts were also excellent, we all bought something. Definitely worth a few hours of your time in Pinjarra, the rose garden nearby is also beautiful, all lovingly maintained.Just to add to the above, we went down again a few days later as I realised we had not visited the Old School which sells patchwork quilts and other related gifts as it had been closed. Well worth it and the lady there was annoyed that whoever had been in charge that day had decided to shut up shop when they should have been open for business. Given this situation perhaps it’s best checking if you’re interested in certain things to phone first to make sure they’re open when they say they are to avoid a wasted trip down.

We go to the Pinjarra Festival every year. It's a free event. Always something different to see and the activities for the kids get better each year. Plenty of varied items to buy and the Pinjarra Art Exhibition at the Civic Centre is also worth a look.

Cultural hub with a good selection of local arts and crafts. Also, a selection of locally made jams. There is a machinery museum there as well which you can view for a gold coin donation.

Great place to visit on weekends. Hope they finished the upgrading soon. It can be a good place for weekenders for city folks.

What was going to be a quick pit-stop in Pinjarra, ended up wandering around the Evendale Heritage Precinct for nearly 2 hours. So many interesting things to look at and read about. Arts & crafts, museum, heritage building. And the tea rooms with the beautiful gardens. Across the road, the Murray River and other historic buildings, rose garden, lovely little church and the war memorial. Across the other road there is Cantwell Playground for the kids. Great place to stop and visit, spend a few hours wandering and have a tea & jam scone.
