Joel Street Plumbing

Called Joel Street plumbing on a Saturday morning thinking our 30 year old hot water heater was leaking. Steve came and had a look and agreed that it was the problem. He replaced the system and did a great job. Unfortunately the water leak continued. Called him back and he came and checked everything the following Monday. After cutting 2 holes in the wall he told us it would cost $5-7000 to repair. Being busy they were not able to do the required work. We received the invoice for the repairs done a couple of days later and paid it the next day.The problem arose when more than 2 months later we received an invoice for the call out on the Monday when we were quoted for the repairs. I have attempted to contact Joel on 3 occasions but he does not return my calls. This leaves me to believe that the invoice was sent because they didn't get the job quoted. Incidentally the job was completed by another plumber for just over $3,000.

I'd recommend for an emergency only.What was done right was done well and the majority was done right.Overall though, outside of an emergency, poor communication, organisation and attention to detail.Responses have taken weeks as did return visits to correct mistakes.Just a bit difficult to deal with in summary.

Joel and team have great banter and are good people. Professional with quality workmanship. Also budget friendly. Because of this they are super busy so book a time in early to ensure the job gets done.

These blokes are seriously good plumbers. They have installed a new hot water system, installed a new toilet, installed new taps and shower heads. All done professionally and promptly and at a very reasonable cost. Well done.
