Do not use them at all costs.They shared confidential information to another client. They were clearly caught out and wouldn’t admit any wrong doing. It was a very clear breach of trust and confidentiality, but they chose to deny any wrong doing or issue any apology.From a service level perspective, the service they offer is poor. They are out of touch, lack knowledge and are terribly slow in completing work or returning calls. I’ve founded several businesses and been in and around business for 12 years and this is by far the poorest experience I’ve had with a finance team.The funny thing is, I’m still trying to work out what they actually do. I know I’ve had my BAS done, but other than that I’m not sure what they ACTUALLY DO. They claim they are business advisors, but offer bad advice and I was not given any advice I didn’t already know. In fact, I sat in a meeting when setting up a new company recently and I felt like I knew more about business then their advisor who sat in on the meeting with my accountant, so I’m not sure if she was there just to look pretty or what the point of her even being there was.As far as I can see, this business is setup as a social club for the owners. They’re interested in the little investments they have and that’s it, it takes forever and an age to get communication from them and when you do, the information they give is terribly out of date and poor. But they’re quick to invite you to their ‘drinks’ at plush venues they’ve put on. Sorry to tell you ladies, but I’m trying to do business, not get involved in a wanky social club full of mummy and daddy Rich want to be’s.I spoke to one of them about business planning and being involved in the startup space, I would say I know what investors are looking for in terms of business plans, decks, fin models etc. The advice given by this person was just so off the mark in terms of what my startup needed and totally geared to me dropping $3-4k on business planning documents created by them that I just didn’t need. For a startup, that’s considerable money walking out the door initially. Again, just interested in their own agenda, not yours.I asked at the start of the our relationship for them to keep up with any grants and apply for them. I’ve called and emailed them several times to ask about grants that I knew of (they didn’t even have a clue what they were) and told I missed 3 grants and the next one was open in a month (it was actually closed till next year) and thus I missed a bunch of government funding ($20-30k) that was available because they didn’t apply as they said they would. Again, poor and incorrect advice given by someone who had ZERO idea or interest in obtaining grants for my business.Do not trust this business, do not trust the Founders with any confidential information and do not let them touch you books or give any business advice.That’s the big thing in a business relationship with a finance team - TRUST and I wouldn’t trust these people managing my sons dollarmite account let alone my business accounts. I could not and wouldn’t not TRUST any advice from these people.Hugely unprofessional and poor at what they do! Avoid at all costs!
