Ziptrak

Recently purchased ziptrak outdoor blinds. Only after 1 year use the two bottom strip seal start to crack due to UV. Got installer back, and he is angry since he has done nothing wrong. Ziptrak, have you tested your product in UV? Not recommended.

I had Ziptrak Blinds installed last week and am already having problems. The installation is for a motorised system. I am not confident in this system moving forward over time for the following reasons1) They stick, mainly going down. The blinds do not slide easily through the guide rails and more often than not require some manual attention. This is unacceptable but have been told by the installers that this is normal. (It wasn't mentioned to me during the sales pitch) More weight is needed on the bottom bar. It has a cavity on the back and some sort of lead weight could easily be attached if the manufacturer wanted to have it engineered.2) The motors are set to up and down limits. This has already failed and the blinds came off the tracks and had to be reset. Again I am not filled with confident and this is suppose to be their premium motor with a 7 year warranty3) The blinds roll uneven. Again I was told this is normal and it is only slightly off level but again I want something that works every time and is square and precise.4) Any slight wind and they stick. I was told about this but didnt realise it was a soft breeze that could cause it.5) I have three motorised blinds on three different outdoor bays and they roll at different speeds. Again only slightly different but still they should be the same. This is not a great concern but adds to the overall lack of confidence in the product.
