To put it bluntly just a plain disappointing experience. Points must be given for being accomodating regarding menu options, however the food was over-priced for the serving size, exceedingly late and cold. Staff service was poor, and unclear pricing ensures my party will not be returning.

Irrefutably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Disgusting rude and aggressive service from staff to incredibly undercooked food with hair in it. The staff then proceeded to accuse us of planting our own hair into the food which was just awful. Our order was changed 3 times and when we questioned the staff retaliated in a highly aggressive manner which was shocking to the kids. We were also ripped off on the bill, when certain items were told to us to be included as part of the main meal. I never post negative reviews but this was honestly too much. Do not visit here.

Nice cosy restaurant. But poor service and don't cater for dietary requirements. Requested gluten-free option during a company event. They served 2 different pasta, lamb in gravy, deep fried cheese ball, and 2 different salads during lunch. I asked where's the gluten-free option was told. You can have the salads. I then ask for lunch menu, and I am happy to pay for lunch. The service person replied, we don't serve lunch and don't have a lunch menu." Rude and inconsiderate service person. Cosy restaurant with lovely staffs and wide range of food. We had buffet breakfast and dinner in restaurant. On both occasions we were happy with the quality and taste of the food. They have flexible dietary options according to your need. We were so happy to get halal option.

We fine here every time we visit Lorne and it has always been great. Staff are attentive and friendly and there is a good menu selection. The lamb dishes - shoulder, 4 point rack- are our favourites.

If you’re looking for service that is severely underwhelming this is the place for you! Never have I seen service so dismal to the point where I had to assume that the wait staff were busboys. Manager did not want to hear anything about it so I’m sure any issues that you raise with them, be sure that it’ll be shut down straight away. No way to treat Mantra guests.

Awful service all night, overcharged for food which took over an hour to arrive. Had to ask multiple times for drinks we ordered. Staff were dismissive and rude when questioned about issue with bill.

The Larder is the restaurant within the Mantra, they serve the hotel buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet breakfast is typical hotel buffet with fresh fruit, cereals, breads, pastries and several bain maries with hot food like eggs, sausages etc too. The quality isn't great and definitely not worth the $30+ for breakfast, best go to a local cafe for much better food, coffee, service and value. It would be ok if in a rush to just get you going. You can also order eggs cooked properly over the counter at no charge and barista made coffee for a charge. Service here isn't great either.Dinner and lunch menu is ok and the food is also ok but just doesn't feel fresh or made with care. It's of to pick at if testing in the lounge but I wouldn't make this a planned meal if you can get a booking elsewhere.
