Very nice . Indigenous accommodation behind the lighthouse, but anyone can stay at the paid accommodation. Apparently the only Indigenous female guide in Tasmania , teaches the ladies traditional arts. Great boat ramp.

Well worth the trip in - but be warned the dirt roads are tricky to drive on if you have a 2WD vehicle - and yes be prepared for the car to get dirty!!! Once on location the beach is well worth exploring and so too is the lighthouse and related old buildings. There is a decent drop toilet on site and shelter during strong winds.

Definitely worth visiting I'm so glad I drove an hour off course to see. Views of coast are stunning combined with rough sea, Red Rock, light house and magical white sandy beaches. Must see this corner of the world. This day was Super windy but still appreciated the scenery ❤️

Fun ride on the bike. Some good & some not so good sections of gravel. All do able, but some areas quite corrugated. The buildings were interesting, but the views, rock formations, bays & crystal clear waters were magnificent. Wildlife is quite abundant. Plenty of wallabies around the trees near the lighthouse & outbuildings. Eagles, frigate & mutton birds plus a waddling echidna. Had a great visit with a picnic down by the waters edge in front of the lighthouse & south.

Another remarkable Tassie Lighthouse, How did they lift those huge blocks of granite?

One of the nicest lighthouses in Tasmania built of local stone with a number of keepers cottages nearby and on the farthest east spot you can go.Gravel road to get there but it's not in bad condition even after recent rain .Well worth a visit if you're in Tasmania

You need to walk down the path to have a surprise of awesome red stones near the ocean. The lighthouse it's just fantastic made out of sandstone and tall. Worth the visit, one of my favourite places in the east coast

When we finally got there it was one of the most impressive lighthouses we have seen in this great state of ours. The gravel road on the way in is badly corrugated and it will take it out of most cars, took us thirty six minutes to go the nine kilometres in. Needs some work for sure that road. I don't regret going in but the round trip took ages, maybe at the very least there needs to be some sort of signage letting people know how bad the road is.
