I have been a customer of this restaurant for over a decade with my family. It has consistently been one of our favourite Chinese restaurants. Their dishes are consistent and constantly delicious.The move the restaurant made a few years ago has made the atmosphere more cosy an intimate. The people who run the restaurant have always been so friendly and I love the wide selection. I recommend the fried rice, combination omelette, and honey prawns.It is usually not too busy but even when it is, it is quiet enough that it is not much of a disturbance. Quite a nice and upmarket place to bring guests / family members who might be staying with you.

More of a 3.5 star. No lunch specials, prices higher than expected but the food was a good portion and taste wise I enjoyed it. Also the place is big so it can hold functions in here

Good old fashioned Aussie Chinese restaurant. This is also known as 'Baysia Restaurant' within the Canada Bay Club. Really friendly and attentive waiters. Went on christmas eve and it wasn't too busy and from the time we ordered to the time we received our food had to be about 3 minutes! Ordered Sizzling Mongolian Lamb, Satay Combination and Honey BBQ Pork in Plum Sauce. Everything was delicious and portions very large. Prices very reasonable. Our new Chinese local!

Very bland. This food is just the most ordinary food. Poorly seasoned, excessive liquids in chow mein, cheek to charge $2 for crispy noodles. Over-priced - $17 for a combo short soup, with dumplings heavy on the noodle and minimum filling. Overall, poor value

Lau's Restaurant Five Dock
Lau's restaurant is the place to be when you are having a get together with family and friends for any occasion. My family and I have recently celebrated our fathers 80th birthday with family and the food was and service was excellent. Lau's Restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. Special shout out to Ken and his staff. Thank you for making this occasion very memorable.
