I attended a resin art workshop at this business because I loved the concept and wanted to learn more about the process. Although I love what I learnt and the work I completed, I was disappointed with the lack of attention from the class instructor, in a class of just three people, meaning that I constantly had to ask for assistance. After completing my work and taking it home, I noticed there was a crack in my artwork. I went back to the business for information and assistance to rectify the problem and was told ‘this has never happened before and and you must have dropped something on it’, which was not the case. When I queried whether it was because the resin art had been completed on canvas, rather than MDF board, I was told this was not the problem. I was very disappointed at the lack of empathy and assistance given in respect to fixing the problem. I have since been advised by another source that the canvas shifting was likely the source of the cracking and that extra supports should have been used on the provided canvas to stop the completed artwork from moving. Although I was very pleased with learning how to do a resin painting, I cannot recommend this course due to above issues and the high cost of the workshop.
