Good oval for doing sport and great location. Some cover and shelter from the rain.

The Ross Gregory Oval, supported by the Stuart King Pavilion, is located just south of beautiful Albert Park Lake, bounded by Lakeside Drive, Ross Gregory Drive and Village Green Drive. The oval is easily accessed, including its own car parking, toilet facilities and the Stuart King Pavilion. The oval is enclosed by a 1m high wire fencing with access from the pavilion. On-ground lighting is provided around the oval.In winter the oval is used by the Power House Amateur Football Club and the Melbourne Superules Football Club, and in summer by the St Kilda Cricket Club. The Ross Gregory Oval is also used by St Michael’s Grammar School for sports andand ancillary physical education activities.The oval is well maintained but there some negatives. As is with many other sports grounds in the Albert Park Reserve, there isn't really any seating provided or many shaded areas around this oval. So you have to self prepare for these.While roadside car parking is provided on the northern side of Ross Gregory Drive, this is limited and it can be difficult to find a spot during busy times when events are also taking place at the other adjacent sports grounds. You also need to be aware that parking fees apply to all marked bays and roadside parking throughout Albert Park.

Visited for cricket, average turf wicket. Expensive car parking - $15+ an hour.
