Anchorage Motel

Cannot recommend this place. Have been trying for two years at various times of the year to utilise a credit at Anchorage but Wes the Manager is imposing conditions on the booking that were not there at the time of the original booking so we are unable to use. Management seem fine with breaching the terms of the original booking. Not providing any alternate solutions, unresponsive over the phone and via email.If this is what the customer service is like then I can’t imagine what they are like when they actually have a guest in their accommodation.

Its the middle of Winter. The heater just blew cold air for ages so a cold night. Rugged up with lots of blankets and electric blankets saved us. Whats the passwoed for WiFi?

Arrogant and greedy owner managers - very poorly maintained VillasWe booked a 3 nights stay at unit 3 of the villas - our first break after the extended lockdown and really regretted making our booking here. Horrible, arrogant and greedy owner managers who doesn’t care about their guests and have no clue about the basics of customer service!Our very first evening - no heating or cooling despite these being renovated villas. It was cold - reception only open till 9pm so had to live with it. Called next morning expecting this to be rectified but instead met with the owner manager (Wes) who said it’s the weekend and he is not a magician nor can he perform miracles to assure that it will be fixed over the weekend- citing expensive weekend call out rate for the electrician. Wow! How about a simple apology and that he will try to get it fixed and offer an alternative solution on the spot. Supposed to have called the electrician to fix the problem but needed parts so have to live with it over the entire stay( who knows if he even called the electrician).The stay got even worse- the upstairs area gets stinking hot even by early morning and this means we don’t get to enjoy/use half of the available living discs, no remote control for Tv, (did replace it the 2nd day), dishwasher that doesn’t work, water temperature in the shower difficult to adjust - goes either scalding hot or freezing cold. Almost burnt myself . Simply asked for a small rebate as compensation upon check-out but instead got told that ‘these things happens’ and they would ‘go broke’ if they have to offer this to every guest. Wow- what a response! We paid full price for a third rate facilities- almost $400 per night - not expensive but certainly not back packer rates. This means these people expect their customers to wear the cost of not keeping their facilities maintained properly and sounds like there may be a few similarly unfortunate guests ahead of us. Interesting they have 2 Mercedes 4 wheel drives parked in the owners slot- clearly making a killing ripping people off.Stay here if you want third rate facilities and rude, arrogant treatment. We did still have a good break at Lorne though - great weather, beautiful beaches and lots of fabulous eateries. I will never stay here again - beware.

Great place. Friendly and helpful service, clean and comfortable rooms. Perfectly located right in the middle of Lorne.

You couldn't get a more central place to stay in Lorne! It was modern, clean and tidy, plus there was a microwave, toaster and everything you needed in the room. You can also book a two room apartment with a full kitchen. The operator was super friendly and we would definitely stay there again.

This is a great motel, fantastic room, kitchenette and even a spa bath. The manager is helpful and friendly, I recommend the Anchorage Lorne motel.When I called he was a pleasure to do business with

A tired place needing some love ... had the basics only and not even a box of tissues and we were greeted with skid marks in the toilet .... not a nice welcome , so hire new cleaners .

I have never been spoken to so rudely while enquiring about a booking. I informed the lady on the phone that the online booking system was down and I was wanting to see dates available, each time I clicked the booking link it redirected to an error page. So I called and enquired about dates and the woman spoke over me saying that I couldn’t book 2 nights only that’s why I was getting an error, but I hadn’t selected dates yet. I hung up, she was so arrogant and kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me speak.

Manager was rude and arrogant on the phone. Obviously doesn’t enjoy her job. She hung up on me as I was questioning the rooms. Would not recommend! Such bad customer service. Imagine the stay if that’s how you run your business and thinks it’s appropriate. Rather stay in Melb!
