Such a great selection of food to make your own ramen/soup dish with. I'm a big fan of places with a good broth and this place has that.They were happy to have families with prams and made space for us. There were no toilets or change rooms at the restaurant but it is within Burwood One shopping center so you can use the facilities there.

Although there’s a variety of food to choose from, the soup is tasty, the service is quick, but is too expensive. I don’t recommend unless you have money to burn. They have 15% surcharge on a Sunday and Public Holiday. They charged extra $7 out of nothing. My total bill should be $54 but they charged $61.00. Just have to double check your receipt.

This franchise has just opened up in Burwood recently. The food is pretty much exactly the same as the sister store in Melbourne city, although the Burwood store thankfully has much more space for diners compared to the city store where it isn't uncommon to have to line up on the street for up to 30-40 minutes whilst waiting for a table. Once inside, you get an aluminium bowl and tongs and you choose all the ingredients that you want in your hot pot, you can choose everything from various forms of tofu, and noodles of many kinds, dumplings, fresh and frozen seafood, processed seafood, thinly sliced frozen beef, lamb or pork meat, all types of vegetables and funghi, quail eggs, lotus root and many Chinese specialty items that I had no idea about, like bitter melon, coagulated blood and many other strange and wonderful little morsels of flavour and the list goes on and on. Once you have filled your bowl with the ingredients you want you then take the bowl to the counter where you chose which of the 4 or 5 varieties of soup that you want it all cooked in, and also the level of spicy heat that you prefer, then it is weighed and you pay by the weight of what you chose. Be careful, it is really easy to order way too much and end up paying $80 for a bowl of hot pot, which would feed 4 people, but the inexperienced can easily overload there bowl the first time trying it. The parking at Burwood One can be very busy at peek times. Overall, the food is really nice, the experience is fun and service fast. The only issue I had was the insanely huge quantity of MSG in the signature soup, which is what I chose. Your tongue tingles then goes numb, you can sleep that night and you're drinking litres of water over the next 2 days. I guess Chinese people are more used to heavy doses of MSG, I like the flavour it gives but the aftermath of it really isn't pleasant at all. I'll try a different soup base next time that hopefully isn't so laden with MSG. I will definitely be going back at some point. Make sure you're hungry because it is very filling.

Do expect wait time during meal time! Love the soup base, really tasty. I could eat this almost every other day and only hope the price could be a little more affordable would be awesome.

Great hot pot restaurant with lots of options and friendly staff. Soups are flavourful and go with any ingredient.

Who doesn't love a yummy hot pot dish and experience. There's a good selection and variety here, it's prompt, it's clean, good seating layout, and a small sauce station to compliment your hot pot. It's a no fuss place, you pick the food and pay based on weight (quantity), they cook your food, you eat and leave. Positive experience.

This little place is always pack with people. The selection of ingredients is reasonable. Just pick up what you like. The price is based on the weight (g). The minimum weight per bowl is 400g. Tried most of the their soup broth selection. They are delicious. However, the stir fry version was just ok.

Still a fantastic hot pot restaurant. Plenty of food options, meat, seafood, wontons & vegetables to choose from.Price is reasonable, $70 for 3 persons, but you choose how much you want to put in your pot to cook.Limited condiments, but the main ones are available.Only negative, no tea on the table. You have to go back & forwards to a stand by the register for a refill.Have been here before, & will return.A fast, easy, delicious & convenient meal.

A lot of malaxiangguo options here as well as soup. There is vegan mala soup broth here too. Variety of ingredients was huge, had many types of seafood. But was disappointed in variety of mushrooms available (they only had oyster, enoki and black fungus) and also no broccoli, which is the non-negotiable staple ingredient in mala. Otherwise the taste was good
