Did a digital perm, cost me $270 and it was the most horrifying painful experience ever.The hairdresser kept digging into my scalp and pulling my hair with her extremely long nails. When I told her it was painful she didn’t care, just kept telling me that she was being careful.The digital rods were so close to my scalp they burned. I told her I was in pain and she kept telling me that it was normal for digital perms.I tried to get help from another staff member but she didn’t care either. She was busy with her own client.There is no one in charge of this place. I was clearly in pain and no one bothered to intervene or ask me what was happening. They feign ignorance by not speaking much English because they are Koreans. Surely my face and body signals transcends language barrier?Anyway, I had to resort to demanding that the hairdresser stop handling my head and I did what I could by myself. Took the hairdryer and put it on cold air to cool my scalp whilst the rods were so hot. Did my own blow dry.Worst thing is, the curls completely fell out. Waste of money and 4 hours of my life.I don’t know if the other hairdressers who work there are any better than the one I had so I am giving this review based on my experience with just one of them. The fact there was no one to even turn to when it wasn’t going right, I am never going back to this place again.

Have never left a bad review with this exception. I asked for a haircut with a photo and Jessie confirmed that there was a fringe and there were LAYERS at the bottom. After a new minutes into her cutting, as I saw it wasn’t as short as I wanted it so I told her I wanted it a bit shorter. Probably after a total cutting time of 13 mins she was done and asked me if it was ok. I told her it was too thick at the bottom and she retorts sharply “If you want more layers you shouldn’t show me that photo! It’s a different hairstyle!” I told her “I showed my last hairdresser the same photo and she…(managed to cut fine was what I wanted to say)”, Jessie then cut me off rudely and began to cut my hair with ‘motor arms’. I felt scared as she was taking out her anger of my request while she was cutting my hair roughly. Less than 2 mins after she asked me if it was “Ok?!!”. I felt little choice but to say it was fine as I really wanted to get out of the seat.

I have been coming to Olive Hair Salon for the past 8 years. The staff here are also polite, cheerful, lovely. Every time when I walk out the door , I feel fantastic about myself.I have been getting haircut and hair colouring from Jessie. The colours are fantastic. No nasty smell , no much fading . Jessie is alway so diligent, so precise . She would never let me leave until she is fully satisfied, even when I feel it’s good already.The price is very reasonable. Definitely recommending to family and friends.

I had a hair treatment & cut with Jessie.She was really friendly and helpful.We discussed what style I would like and what suits me better. The result came out better than expected, she also taught me how to style it properly on my own.Highly recommended!

I have been to Olive Hair Salon and having haircut and styling there for over 5-6 years.Roy and everyone at Olive are friendly and hold great customer services. Their hospitality is beyond expectation; you walk in with everyone saying hi to you and you walk out with a great smile knowing you’re well valued at Olive.More importantly, everyone is highly professional in their work whether it is trimming, colouring or treatments.I remember last year after the COVID lockdown when Roy recommended a new way to style my hair and cut my hair the way he felt more modern and styled. I could not thank Roy better for his new recommendation and I love my current new hair style.Not to mention the interiors are very modern and well maintained by the team.

As much as i get a good haircut i want every time i visit. What keeps me returning back is the Integrity that they show to all customers with utmost respect. How nice if all services will have their blueprint.

I usually don't leave negative comments on a local business but this time I would like to. To reduce the risk of getting virus, I told her I do not want to wash but just have a hair cut. She had so many different reasons saying if no wash she cannot cut. And of course they will also have extra charge on washing. Then I showed her a photo saying I just want a layer style but she totally ignored customer's request and did whatever she wants to do, a simple, quicker and easy style for her. The service is bad, and the attitude is rude.

Roy and his team are amazing!Have been coming here for a long time.Great service and very fair prices. They have been around for over a decade for a reason.
