Great place for a walk, can walk around the entire lake. Note that the road in is gravel and is quite long so best not to go in a sports car as there are a few ruts.Note, photo take from a drone at approx 80m altitude.

A nice local spot for a swim in the lakePeople litter rubbish for goodness sake!Slight walk to get to the placeTake it slow and walk a steady pace.Water is quite deepAnd the hills very steep.No dogs allowed as its a National parkKeep our wildlife safe, especially in the dark!

I am not sure how to say this without offending a lot of people. I don't want to sound like I am you know... This lake isn't blue. It is muddy green, ok. Maybe not muddy but definitely not inviting green. We didn't get into the water, other families were there and they don't seem to mind the water, but plenty of signs advising us not to get in... The walk there and back to the carpark is hot and dusty. But MMaybe we went in the wrong time .. sorry Victoria, we hated your Blue lake.

Great place to go for a swim especially considering is proximity to Melbourne city. A little walk from the car park but worth it.

The overall impression is good. The lake is nice and there is a barbeque area nearby, but the water is a little smelly because, in my opinion, it has been stuck there for a very long time.

Stunning autumn weather for a Mother’s Day walk. Lovely natural bush land on the city fringe. Long yet gradual slope down gravel track from car park for easy accessibility.

Nice place to have a picnic but be careful of the trees. One big limb broke off a tree and just missed landing on me.There is not much room around the lake itself for a bit of a crowd to gather at any one time.People take kayaks and inflatables into the water but it is deep so life jackets should be worn.A nice easy walk alongside the river before you actually get to the lake.

When we visited, it's not really blue..rather, it was green. Many people were swimming, however, I didn't feel like it was hygienic for a dip, so I just enjoyed taking photos, the trees, the scenery, the fresh air and the easy trek from the carpark to the lake and back..

A beautiful place to walk and enjoy the nature and the quiet. Very recommended to relax after a busy schedule.
