Is this guy even a qualified vet? Where was the compassion for my poor dog. He was more interested in working out how much we were going to have to pay for an operation that my dog didn’t need to have in the end. He didn’t even know what type of breed my dog was. Very basic and cold rooms just like the vet that was there!Do not use this vet!

I can't recommend Bayside Highett Veterinary Hospital and Dr Alan highly enough. I've been taking my cats here for over 20 years! Dr Alan is extremely knowledgeable and caring and his diagnosis is always spot on. He doesn't overcharge and is always available when I need him which gives me peace of mind. Felix (my indoor cat/furbaby) is extremely comfortable and relaxed with him which is important as he's a bit of a scaredy cat. You won't find a cheaper or more thorough vet in the area.

We took our doggy who had ALL the signs/symptoms of CUSHING's syndrome to this Vet for investigations to rule CUSHINGS in or out..He charged us for the battery of tests involved in diagnosing Cushing's but did ONLY a resting Cortisol...absolutely useless without challenging it (SDDST is the accepted & standard approach).This Vet seriously over-sedated our dog and has NO support staff to assist..our dog's health suffered dramatically because of the failure to do what we asked re testing and a delay of 7 months in an eventual diagnosis. His health was poor at time of presenting to Bayside Vet Clinic but became so much worse. Months later we found a reputable and competent Vet who quickly did the testing and diagnosed our dog with Cushings.A large malignant tumour was recently surgically removed but he has suffered many complications post surgery and he is still hospitalised. It's DAY 14.THIS Vet I hold responsible for our doggy's complicated and painful recovery. I was bullied into signing an affidavit before he would agree to refund money for the the tests he failed to take and even then h 3 reneged on 3 agreed times/dates to meet for the refund.I would steer well clear of this Vet when considering a local in the Highett area. His clinical expertise dangerously lacking, very unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Alan is a knowledgeable, competant and caring veterinarian who knew exactly how to treat my puppy. Furthermore, his fee is very reasonable, I will be back.

I have been taking my dogs to Alan for years. He's highly educated, knowledgeable & attentive. He will also tell you how it is, helping you to make the right decision without any pressure. My dogs are to precious to me, that's why Alan is our vet.

Excellent and expert care provided to my 10year old border collie/kelpie who required an operation to his ear. Options were clearly explained and what to expect during recovery.

Reception area and vet clinic are 1 room. Miss diagnosed my kitten, prescribed the wrong medication and charged exorbitantly. Had to take him to another vet. Clinic conditions are appalling. Do not take your pet here.

I have used the services of this vet for about two decades. I was always happy. All of my adopted cats were looked after by Alan. He is very much to the point and competent. Reliable and very honest. What matters to me is the welfare of my animal. Every time, over the years I had no doubt that this vet's focus is what's best for the animal he's treating. I don't mind the matter of fact approach and somewhat dry bedside manner. I have full faith in Alan's skills and will continue to use his services.

We had a fantastic experience with Alan at Bayside Highett vet. Our dog became poorly very suddenly and Alan fit us in for an appointment that same day and operated that very night. Our dog came home the next morning and was very well cared for. Price was very reasonable also. We can’t thank Alan enough for his excellent care.
