Grey Gum Lodge

Really enjoyed our brief stay at Grey gum Lodge , the owners were great ,so friendly full of I formation on the town of Nimbin. Lovely outdoor garden area to enjoy a drink and smoke. Our room was clean and comfortable . We didn't,t have any issues with noise from other guest. Only a short stroll in to town centre.

What a place, lovely, quiet, clean accommodation on the Southern entrance to Nimbin. A 5 Min walk to town which is very easy. The accommodation itself is an old Queenslander that has been turned into a very comfortable Motel type accommodation. 4 rooms all with en-suites and A/C and access to the veranda or a balcony. The decor is typical of the surrounding lifestyle. Hey it's Nimbin would you expect anything else. Darren and Stewart are the hosts and do a fantastic job, Darren made sure we had clean towels when he saw us and ensured we we comfortable whilst staying there. They are onto a winner with this place. We spent 9 days there visiting family and this was a god send with coming from Tasmania to Nimbin in January. The AC had its work cut out but we survived. The resident Water Dragon scared the hell out of my wife when she first met it and you get used to the Fruit Bats feasting on the mango's at the entrance. Just don't be under one when they fall as they would hurt. As we will visit family, we now know where we will be staying. Well worth the effort and Money to stay at the Grey Gum Lodge. My only let down was the water out of the taps, we just couldn't drink it. Chlorine ( we are on tank) so do your self a favor and buy water in town out of the 10L cartons. The photo's I have uploaded just add to what is already available and honestly they do not do this place the justice it deserves.

The views from the garden over the valley were stunning early in the morning.Such a relaxing and friendly place. Great to meet and chat to our fellow guests on the verandah and in the garden. So beautiful! The rooms are elegant and sparkling clean. I loved the decoration which was similar to the up-market safari lodges I have seen. My partner and I found it romantic & the view from the veranda / balcony was stunning xx

This really is a gem, Nimbin is a truly individual place to visit and the Grey Gum Lodge is the place to stay.Its just a few minutes walk from the centre, has great rooms, the verandah had spectacular views. The bed was a top 10 most comfy ever and the shower was perfect.Host was very helpful with local info.Just lived it.

Great hosts, clean, comfortable, generous size room with private en suite. Beautiful tropical garden with various places to sit and relax.Short walk to cafe's and Nimbin shops. Great place to be based for the weekend and see the local waterfalls and rolling hills.

Heavenly. Darren was so welcoming and check in was easy. Beautifully clean quirky rooms, hot shower, incredible linen and comfortable bed, amazing view from the front verandah of this heritage homestead, and so peaceful. The perfect place to stay when you want to experience the culture of Nimbin and its beautiful people and surrounds.

Cozy and comfortable and Darren is a great host. Room was tidy and just perfect, also amazing water pressure on the shower. Decor is very cool. And only a very short walk into the village!

My wife and I stayed at the lodge on the 18th Oct '20. The rooms were clean and with a homely feel. The back verandah had nice views of the surrounding area as well as the lodge's nice gardens - also a very good place to sit and relax after the day's travels. Walking distance to the centre of town but far enough for a quite and restful night. The hosts were perfect and accommodating - allowed me to keep plants I purchased while travelling in their courtyard and water them. Highly recommended.
