RACQ Eight Mile Plains Office

Went there Wednesday to ask about changing our Car Insurance, House and Contents Insurance. Had excellent service so we went back today. We asked to follow up with the same staff member.She was dealing with a couple and all they could talk about was their holidays around the world. She was doing a great job trying to get them back on track a number of times. We waited for 90 minutes before having to leave.We should have just took the first person available.Four people came and went while we waited.Still angry and trying to calm down.

I've been a member for over a decade.I can't fault the core business of rescue and assistance but the pre inspection call centre staff either need a holiday or some training on customer service.I understand you may need to repeat to some customers that mobile pre inspections need to be on private driveways etc, but the tone and short temper before I even explained I can do this was unacceptable. Then when I called just to confirm the huge time frame between 7am-12pm before I even spoke, the call centre person said no we can't give you a specific time - which I hadn't asked for. (even if it would be nice) I was just reconfirming my half loss of a day.Next pre inspections I do will be with someone else definitely, hopefully your core business still stays the same.Note this review isn't for this particular racq location but for the corporate or headquarters office which I'm unsure of its location.

Wanted nearly $700 to cover a work van for 12 months and to get a tow only to be told after 35 minutes on the phone that they won't cover me.

After being a loyal RACQ customer for years, they refused to honour my contents insurance claim stating it was a Body Corporate issue despite body corporate insurer stating floor coverings are not part of the building or insurable under the Body Corporate scheme. It's all a bit of a joke. Shameful. Do not recommend. Needless to say, I have cancelled the insurance & membership.

Didn't tell me my road side assist membership payment had failed 4 months ago. Then charged me a extra $140 fee when I needed their help, the fee was because my membership had not renewed despite being with them for many years prior and never missing a payment before. Phone service was very unpersonal, almost feel scammed.

The worse insurance company I came across with.They have finalised my car after 1 year and pay me less than my agreed value on my car almost 12k.The never listen to me on my concern just keep me on holdI will never recommend RACQ in my life

I hope I could give no star+5 years of paying upfront compensation insurance resulted in unpaid claim…Fixed my own car after accident because accessor was so rude and believed that accident can’t cause damage.Don’t trust RACQ insurance, they simply getting away from claims by not listening to customers and through whatever their accessor submitted mechanical reportWorst customer service with long waiting time over the phone …

1st lady abrupt and seemed resentful to questions brusque manner she rang me. When I rang with my details and a question this lady was marvelous and helpful should be more like her.

Great customer service, plenty of parking available, disability friendly throughout, signage is clear and easy to understand, lovely clean and well kept lawns and gardens
