Maryborough & District Hospital

Attended for a procedure in the day surgery clinic yesterday and have nothing but good things to say about this lovely hospital and their fabulous staff in particular the nursing staff that never stopped in the four or so hours I was there and doing it all with a smile and gracious manner. All contact with admin and theatre staff was done in the same manner. All in all this anxious patient could not have asked for better treatment. Thank you Maryborough and District Hospital.

Had a day procedure done today and found the staff very helpful and friendly. Something you’d expect for a country hospital.

Avoid Maryborough hospital at all costs I would rather drive to another hospital where my partner could’ve received proper care.The first visit to the hospital my partner was having a reaction which they refused to see her and discharged her after checking just her blood pressurethey didn’t even get her a doctor even though she requested for one.The second visit she had body twitching and agitation so I took her back to ER and they finally got a doctor for her, What the hospital didn’t tell us at the time is that the doctor she has was in training and didn’t yet have the full qualifications, We found this out after the hospital visit.When she spoke to the doctor they said to her to go home and sleep it off which is impossible because of the twitching that she was having to get comfortable enough to get to sleep they never offered her anything to help relax her muscles or agitation that she was having.

I attended this small hospital in September as a day procedure patient. I found all the steps of the process quite streamlined, what impressed me the most was the respect and great team work everyone shared. It’s a tough gig to work in the public health system these days ( I personally work in a tertiary major hospital in Brisbane as an RN) . Health professionals are doing it tough, but at Maryborough they are doing it as a TEAM.

Iv had diabetes my whole life. Iv only been in Maryborough for a few months.I was in an ambulance on my way to ballarat cos Maryborough cant deal with DKA. Ambulance stop at Maryborough to check my ketones. 20 sec test. They couldn't. Today my BSL tester wasted my last 10 test and the chemist was closed. I stoped in and ask for a 30 sec BSL test. Triage nurses do that through the window at the triage deask. She said i had to wait and become a patient before they could. Not an emergency, they will just leave me there till im life and death. Complete waste of tax dollars and a blatant risk of my life.Side note i have worked for monash health for 10 years. They could do a better job with there eyes closed. Should be zerp stars. How ever ballarat hospital was FANTASTIC 10 stars.

My daughter was told by your staff that she ad miscarried her twins. She suffered for 4 days with depression and grief until going to her own doctor for an ultrasound which showed two live babies. Very unhappy with this hospital.

Had an overnight stay after surgery at this hospital. Everything went very smoothly and was very professional from the nurse who prepped me and the surgical team. The nurses in my ward were very caring, supportive and thoughtful. The nurses displayed a very high standard of professionalism and quality care. Thank you.

A friend of mine went in for an endoscopy yesterday and the nurse somehow managed to dislocate my friends jaw when they were putting in the mouth piece.Absolutely no need for this to happen.

5 star hospital and staff. The nurses is really friendly and did everything to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. I was well informed about the procedure and after care, and it was very professional.

Was treated with the best care and had all my concerns attended to. The staff made me feel very safe and were thorough with explaining things. Would be definitely getting a referral there again next time.
