Alter It Camberwell

Good quality alterations done to my suit pants ($45 to take in at the waist, took 2~ days). Took a while to get service, no one greeted me and took a while after i called out for someone to come greet me

Have used the team here for alterations ranging from simple hems to more complex garment resizing and have always been very happy with the outcome.Prices, although not the cheapest (do you really want to risk your clothes to the lowest bidder anyway?), are very reasonable too.

I needed some work pants repaired for Monday and the lady at the counter said they'd be ready for pick-up on Sunday. I arrived to collect them and the store was closed.EDIT - I appreciate your reply. The lady serving asked when I needed them by and I said 'for work on Monday, so Sunday at the latest' and she said ok. I then confirmed as I left 'is pick up on Sunday?' and she said 'yes'. I saw later (when returning to pick up the pants) that your door says closed on Sunday and as does your Google listing but I trusted the exchange with your staff without thinking and now I'm left without my dress pants, so the one star review stands.

I’ve had many alterations done by Simone over many years and she has always been excellent. She has a really good eye for small adjustments that would improve the fit of any item, and I’m especially pleased with her most recent work altering a suit, which fits perfectly. I always recommend Simone to friends.

Simone is a fabulous measurer/pinner of your clothes on your body, and her team's work is fabulous. I've had two batches of dresses, trouser, skirt and jacket altered and the work is beautiful - and sits so nicely. Will definitely use again!

I could not alter it, too expensive!I went there to alter my suit, and the cost of the alteration is higher than the suit itself.SO FUNNY!Also, the staff (the lady) was not friendly to the customers.

I came in to shorten a shirt dress and to cut excess material that was pinned before I left. Cost was not cheap close to $300 which is more than the dress itself. I came back to pick up to find that they have removed the pocket which is part of the feature of the dress. I was apparently told of this which I would have remembered and would have said ‘No’ to outright. No phone call even to confirm as you would think it odd. Apparently it was going to cost me much more if I left the pocket?!?!? They could have removed elsewhere which was pinned behind the dress and not the side. Very disappointed and I’m sure I will be told that I ‘misheard’ just like the other reviews that left a very disatisfied message. They didn’t even offer to rectify the error. To put salt in the wound, they handed me the material with the pocket. I suppose they wanted me to go elsewhere to fix their mistake. What a joke!

Simon, Dot and the team at Alter It Camberwell are wonderful! I called on them with an absolutely last minute alteration a few weeks back, and they were only too happy to help. Thank you - I'll try to be more organised next time around!!

Good quality and fast service. My daughter had her school trousers taken up and they were still a bit on the long side for her liking. She took them back and the staff were happy to adjust there and then without more expense.

They are very expensive. Simone is very rude and unwelcoming. I won't use them again.
