David Ielasi has been very supportive & responsive through stage 1 of our building process.There was frequent communication which was really appreciated and always available to answer any questions & queries.I have met David on a few occasions at Morphettville display homes, the knowledge & warmth he provides feels like I have known him for years.Thank you David for your guidance through every step of our planning & designing our new home.

Currently in the final selections process with Dechellis. We chose them as the house layouts, along with display home finishes, were markedly better for our use than other builders. We have confidence that our final build will be of good quality. For context, we've previously built a new house with other builders.Some things we've liked about starting a build with Dechellis;- Sales consultant was super responsive and had a great knowledge of build, finishes and different options. He was always happy to promptly answer our questions and helped us push through the approval stages.- As mentioned, build quality seems great. We've also had this comment from multiple people we know, so it does help our confidence that the final product will be quality.- Home layouts of their core range seem well thought out for our use. Many other builders seem to either hyper-optimise or waste space in their designs. We found the core Dechellis homes to generally have a good living area layout, along with space where needed.- Most finishes we were after were able to be handled within Dechellis' extended selection range.Some thing's we haven't enjoyed so much when starting a build with Dechellis;- Feel like processes could be a little modernised - for instance all interactions happen over paper and sometimes take quite some time to filter through whatever internal processes are occurring. I also found that communicating via phone or in person was definitely easier with Dechellis than emailing or other methods of communication. As an example of process; we can sort out a new home loan from our bank within a week, all online, however our Dechellis contract signing required us to meet in person, then once signed wasn't returned to us until another in person meeting ~20 days later.- Generally, information isn't very clear for most steps and items - e.g. about the specific steps of build, contract and what happens when isn't particularly easy to find and also will get a slightly different terminology and response depending on who you talk to in the company. Another example is it is difficult to get a clear list of how the display homes differ from the available plan options (which they do of course, all builders do this to a degree). Contrast both those points with previous builders we had, which provide a clear info sheet for display homes and give an easy-to-understand booklet type checklist for the process.- Selections process is a little interesting - as Dechellis aren't quite a 'build by numbers' builder, however they don't do full custom, I think this kind of leaves you in an odd spot with selections. You also will be visiting a range of different selections places, rather than a couple of big ones. I'm sure this is because Dechellis is keeping the trades they know will provide quality, however requires a bit more coordination on your part (not just visiting the selections, but understanding any flow-on effects that choices in one selection have for another). Ideally, I think clearer guidance or point of contact from the Dechellis side in this part would help me as a customer immensely!Overall we're still happy with our choice, however would love a bit more clarity and a similar sales experience brought through our selections process. In saying that, everyone I've spoken to in person at Dechellis has been more than willing to help us in our queries! Looking forward to Dechellis building our forever home.

We are about to complete selections and are nervous as hell. So far the process and communication has been beyond perfect. The sales staff have bent over backwards to accommodate and assist us with our build and we couldn’t have asked for a more patient sales consultant. Can’t wait to move in our dream home.

We made the decision to build our new home in April 22. From the moment I made the enquiry on line, we received a very prompt response from Daniel Lauro. He has a wealth of knowledge and ideas, was very informative and transparent about the process, as this was our first time building, and new to this experience. Given the current times, we where well aware of the timeline and had no unrealistic expectations. To date, Dechellis have been very helpful with our inquiries and concerns, addressing them promptly.We are currently up to our selections stage, and the options are endless. We are very happy to date, and would highly recommend Daniel, and Dechellis, when building your new home.

After starting our building process with another company who bragged to be one of the best and biggest building companies in the state who started in 1954.
