Kentlyn Basin
It is a beautiful space and the council has done a great job in improving the pathway and access signs.

A beautiful place well worth the visit. An easy walk up to the steps down but a steep track down and back up. Well maintained paths but uneven stairs and irregular surfaces & rocks make this unsuitable for any one with mobility issues. Definitely take water in and importantly your rubbish out with you. It was dissapointing to see the rubbish left behind by thoughtless visitors.

HOW TO GET THERE: Park at Keith Longhurst/Kentlyn reserve parking. It's the loop at the end of Georges River Rd, Kentlyn. Walk towards the sign that says Keith longhurst reserve and this is the start of your track. Follow this track to the left and you'll start seeing these black and pink posts pointing you in the right direction (see pic). The first part of the hike is easy, pretty much flat, and this will lead you to a lovely lookout of the greenery. Once you hit the stairs, this is where it gets challenging. Although the way down is relatively easy, just keep in mind you have to climb those same stairs back up, and that'll require a fair bit of effort. However the basin is breathtaking and peaceful. Absolutely worth the effort.

Very easy track for anyone to do. Most of the track is uneven, and there are plenty of huge rocks that you'll have to walk over. There's also quite a fair bit of steps that take you down to the river. But the treck is worthwhile for the view.

A challenging and tiresome hike back, the stairs are nicely steep. Nevertheless, this place is full of families and one of the gemstones away from the biggest attractions (royal national park). It was very relaxing there with sand bays and up stream there’s a waterfall with a kings throne placed underneath. Above the waterfalls is a relaxing pool of rocks, very covered in algae but alright if you don’t mind.

Arrived at Keith Longhurst Reserve with parking available along the side of the road. On a weekday, there were about 6 cars when we arrived. From here an easy walk following some signs that I think says basin walk (although some were missing, keep an eye out for the post that was holding the signage). The trail can be a little rough, meaning loose rocks, but overall quite safe.We eventually reached a point we could hear a waterfall, overlooking the cliff we could see Kentlyn Basin. When we reached the stairs down, it was an easy track down. It took us about 15 minutes walk down (at a steady pace) to the basin from where we parked. Along the way we came across some beautiful scenery and fresh air.At the basin, it was very cool and plenty of places to relax and take in the wonderful atmosphere. Some people cross the waters to the otherside to continue trekking or to have a lay on the rocks. When crossing the waters, there are algae on the rocks so it is slippery, so take your time and be careful. When heading back, please take whatever rubbish you have with you. While trekking up the stairs, my legs were a little sore (for someone like me who hasn't exercise in ages) but it was manageable and still very easy. Note: there's no phone reception around the basin. Walking back, continue to look for the signs and trail path to head back to the car. Overall a great place to visit and I would highly recommend it.
