Mitta Pub - (AKA Laurel Hotel)
The food here is AWESOME!! There were 8 of us and we all had a different meal and they were beautifully cooked and really delectable!! Presentation was great. Taste was even better! The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much effort! I would recommend eating here, and out the back you can have a beautiful meal and watch the river run by.

We spent the day touring the region and ended the day at the Mitta Pub. The atmosphere is fantastic and the outlook is magic, sitting right on the river. They had a nice selection of cold beers on tap and our meals were all outstanding. All staff were super friendly and courteous at all times, I can’t rate our experience high enough. Well done owners/managers 10/10. We will be back!

I heard the Mitta Pub is great, but it’s even better than I imagined. I loved everything about it. A beautiful daytime setting outside, lovely arrangement of tables, north facing and overlooking the river.Inside the pub has been beautifully updated with a very cosy feel. To top it off, the food was amazing. I wish I could stay longer to try the rest of the menu.

Great food, pleasant interior. Unfortunately was significantly marred by a publican coming over to our table (friendly that he wanted to chat, downright rude that he wanted to deliver a sermon) and deciding to tell us, uninvited, about his specialised knowledge that disproved the field of climate science. Next time i'm travelling down the valley I'll go to eskdale or omeo, because for me it was about the same as if the bloke decided to ask if i have accepted jesus or if i know 'the truth' about vaccines. Also found it very objectionable about his boasting of cornering teenage (junior) empolyees into such dreadful conversations, so I personally will steer clear until I have assurances that poor junior employees/trainees are also spared of that kind of anti-science diatribe. otherwise enjoyable!

Back here again and why not. Atmosphere lovely as usual. It is so peaceful here and the beer garden extends out to the river which is running high at the moment. You could hear it running in the background. Food just as great as 12 months ago

All I can say is awesome. Well worth a drive to this awesome pub. The backdrop on, too, the snowy river is amazing.
