Lorhiti Apartments

Lorhiti Apartment was the perfect base for our visit to Lord Howe Island!We loved the excellent communication and hospitality from the host prior and during our stay. The lodge is well run and extremely clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and a BBQ area. The location is excellent. Just a couple of minutes walk through the palm forest to Neds Beach where we snorkelled every day :) The town centre and most stores are only a 10minute walk away, as well as nearby restaurants.We also appreciated the free WIFI. We hope to stay again and have no hesitation in giving our highest recommendation to others looking for accommodation on Lord Howe Island!

We had an amazing stay at Lorhiti apartments. Both Fletch and Kathi made us feel so welcome and very comfortable during our stay. They gave us great advice on what to do, where to go, places to eat and how to book tours.The self contained apartments are immaculate and offer everything you need and the surrounding subtropical gardens are beautifully maintained and offer absolute peace and privacy.They are centrally located and you can’t beat the stunning private track through sun tropical rainforest to the beautiful Neds Beach.We would highly, highly recommend staying here. We can’t wait to come back!!

I would highly recommend staying at Lorhiti for a unforgettable holiday on Lord Howe Island. The beautiful 4 minute walk to Neds beach from our apartment was our favorite part! Lorhiti has stunning gardens all around, clean charming units & helpful and lovely hosts. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

We had a wonderful stay on Lord Howe.Lorhiti apartments were clean, comfortable and spacious with a 5 minute private access to Ned’s Beach, one of the nicest locations for picnics, snorkelling , swimming and the famous fish feeding.It’s also an easy walk into the town.Kathi and Fletch , our hosts were very friendly and helpful, thanks so much for our Champers and chocolate too!Regards Lisa and Chris

Lovely week in one of the garden apartments. I’d recommend Lorhiti if you’re thinking of coming here, clean comfortable and everything you need. It’s close to the beach and central to the bar and restaurant etc. Courtesy buses to restaurants at night and a lovely private track down to Neds beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Lorhiti apartments could not have been any better!! From the moment of booking and then touching down on Lord Howe Island, Lorhiti staff were amazing. They warmly welcomed us to the island and were attentive and knowledgeable and happy to share first hand information on the not to miss" secret spots on the island.There were many facets to our stay that deserve mentioning but one in particular would be the location of Lorhiti

Our experience with Lorhiti has been disappointing and mirrors the recent reviews by Craig and Mark.We were unable to attend to our weekend reservation in late August due to flights being cancelled (COVID-19). At that point, Qantas went to 1 flight/week and we were unable to rebook since we had originally booked on a classic flight award (no more seats). Even when Qantas added another weekly flight, still no reward seat availability (and dates didn't work, either).Lorhiti continued to blame Qantas for our situation (not incorrect) but would not budge on a full refund of our original deposit. In fact, they requested us to pay the remainder of our balance, even though the island has not formally opened to tourism (3/AUG is what I heard) and there is still so much uncertainty.In the end, Lorhiti kept $150 (cancellation fee). Whilst this is a small amount in the grand scheme of things (and I can understand the difficulties being a small tourism business in these times), it still left a pretty bad taste in the mouth.Our experience with all other travel providers (tours, hotels, airlines, etc) have all been extremely understanding and have provided full refunds. Or at least provided a credit for future bookings.We would not recommend supporting this business given the way they are treating customers during this pandemic.

Earlier this year we stayed at Lorhiti Apartments and we can highly recommend them.The units are set in a beautiful garden with plenty of facilities and are just a short walk from Ned’s beach and also an easy ride or walk to the main town center. The 1-bedroom unit was well appointed and very clean with all the amenities to make your stay comfortable.From our pick up at the airport to the prompt and efficient response to any inquiries - the hosts were excellent.Thank you for a wonderful stay and making us feel welcome.We hope to return one day soon!

Our booking was not possible due to COVID-19 and we when asked to reschedule for next year, they initially refused and told us to claim on insurance. When they realised we weren’t going to just go away and let them keep our money, they backflipped and offered to reschedule which was strange.I found their team to be quite rude and difficult to deal with. I would be very careful booking with Lorhiti as they have no qualms holding onto your money without providing any services.There are lots of good options of places to stay in Lord Howe with great staff who definitely wouldn’t treat their customers this way.

Absolutely adored our stay at Lorhiti Apartments. My husband and I went to Lord Howe Island for our honeymoon, Kathy and Fletch made sure we made the most of our holiday and saw the best parts of the island. We cannot fault the service we received, and the beautiful gardens made us feel like we were in a hidden oasis. A cute little path direct to Ned's beach too! :)
