Lulu's at The Lodge
Lulu’s offers a stunning location, and based on that alone the venue gets the two stars. The food and service was a major disappointment. I spent more than $60 on a steak and a couple of glasses of wine. The took a long time to take our orders, and the food came out about an hour after it was ordered; it had flavour but the meal was mildly warm and I could not help but wonder how long it had been sitting at the counter waiting for staff to delivery it. Furthermore the drinks took more than 30-40 minutes to get served as well (I had to ask a waiter when the drinks were coming at the 30-minute mark). Lastly, when one staff member said he would clear the plates, he cleared 3, then the table waited another half an hour for a staff-member to clear the rest.The staff were friendly and one was apologetic for the delay before we left, but my frustration is the restaurant was not in the least bit busy, and the staff spent most of their time huddled together having a chatting amongst themselves.In all seriousness, Lulu’s would easily get a 4-5 rating if it was managed well and we had prompt service. But my experience that night could not warrant a rating anything more than 2 stars.
