Mcdojo, rude instructors who are in it for cash, and only one or two knew what they were doing. Knife defense training was discouraged by the owner, despite Zen Do Kai's founder being a strong advocate. Maybe it's changed in the years since I trained. But if it's still run by Mike I seriously doubt it.

High quality training lead by skilled instructors with varied backgrounds. Family focused club with a broad program for mixed ages. No gimmicks and an all welcome environment.

Excellent instructors who are welcoming and supportive. Great facilities and atmosphere!

Firestorm Dojo is a family friendly club where Mike Quin leads a team of strong senior and junior instructors. Everyone, kids and adults, are given the chance to grow and develop skills at there own pace in areas of self defence, martial arts or weapons in a positive and supportive environment. I've spent 12 years as part of the Firestorm family and have never questioned the professionalism or dedication of any of the instructors. Rather letting them direct and hone mine and my kids martial arts skills over the years. I would highly recommend Firestorm Dojo to any parent, adult or child looking to learn a martial arts for self defence or fitness.

Great place even better people to train with. Considering i have cripping social anxiety when it comes to situations like this.
