RACT Driver Training Hobart

DO NOT GO HERE. They will charge you way over the going rate for a test. Then fail you for something petty so you have to return and give them more money. This has happened to me and numerous people I know. Actually disgusting business practices. Save yourself the money and go to an independent driving school where they will actually test you fairly.

Actually appalled at the service from my first and only lesson with RACT to be dreadfully unlucky enough to endure it with Kitty. The degradatoy comments and being made to feel completely incapable and anxious for no reason whatsoever to the point where I had become so anxious I almost gave up on wanting a licence at all were so uncalled for and unprofessional, reefing on the steering and not even making clear sense with instructions how could anybody learn in this manner. I also looked to see in previous reviews this has been an ongoing problem for many years with RACT its sad to see you guys don't listen to the customers of your business and avoid this ongoing problem. I do not recommend this for anybody who wants to learn or prepare for your ps test.

Lessons: Chris A is a legend, super kind, personable and has made me a confident driver during my lessons.P1 Assessments: Chris H (the only P1 assessor) you're brash and bordering on nasty, mate.I definitely wouldn't recommend booking your P1 assessment here.

I would highly recommend Vaughan at RACT, he is a very kind and patient teacher with nervous drivers. My skills have significantly improved and i have become a much better and safer driver through these lessons, couldn't thank or express gratitude enough!

I had many lessons with Ract. staff there are very friendly and helpful. My instructor was Kitty, I learnt so many things from her . With her help I passed my P test second time. Kitty is strict ,but fair. At the end of the day, she wants the best for all her students. I really appreciate for her support.

I had Vaughan as one my driving instructor and he is an excellent instructor and with a great personality and outgoing person.

A few days ago, I bought the three lessons package, but I encountered some difficulty and would not be able to have any lesson. After receiving my refund request, RACT processed my request immediately with no strings attached. I really appreciated their kindness and efficiency. I do not think I can make any remark on their driver training; nevertheless, their customer service is remarkable and impressive.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!Instructors are incompetent which is why no one going for Ps here gets it. The Ps instructor should not be allowed to work with people. Chris is emotionally abusive to students using common abuser tactics of intimidation, gaslighting and emotional manipulation of course before and after the in car camera is on. Myself as well as a multitude of people trying to achieve the goal of a car license have experienced this. Somehow charging more for this service compared to other companies must be for the abuse.

A driving school definitely a cut above the other offerings in Hobart. Whatever they're doing to recruit these instructors its definitely working. 1st class instruction in a patient and kind manner with constant verbal pointers for the student. The instructors are highly skilled and excellent at what they do. Of particular note are Vaughan, Dede and Toby for their excellent technique and sheer class.
