I arrived at the artistry at 11:10am for an 11:20am appointment. When I got to reception, the girl told me my booking wasn’t until 11:35am. I was confused as I booked it via text for 11:20am and my confirmation text said 11:20am. Anyways, I went away and came back for 11:35am. As I was having my nails done, the girl doing my nails was not focused on me at all.. she was too busy running around getting money out of her wallet to get lunch and also talking with the other girls working there. She was even drilling my nail whilst looking away at one point and cut my skin.Prior to my appointment, I sent a message asking how much it would cost for infills and I was quoted $60. At my appointment, I decided to get pink nails with chrome on top. It took the girl a maximum of 2 minutes to rub the chrome on my nails. Then as I got to reception to pay, I was told my appointment has come to $110!!! I told the girl I was quoted $60 and she then told me it was an extra $50 for chrome!?When I contacted the business to give my feedback and request a partial refund, they had no concern or response for the fact that I was mistreated and injured. They only responded about the money…Will never go back here. Way too overpriced and not caring at all.

Great first experience at the Artistry.Got SNS for the first time here. I waited for around 30 minutes and they gave me a complementary bottle of water which was nice. They have limited colours but service was super fast and the end result was good. It has been a week and no chipped nails yet.The space is super beautiful and relaxing as you can see. I would recommend you trying it.Only downside is the price, I got a good price since it was the opening offer, however, SNS will cost you $55 from the 8th of May. The website advertised I would get a mini massage and cuticle care with the SNS but I didn’t get any of the two. You might have to ask. They also have a point system that you can sign up to and get discounts with. You will also get your receipt emailed to you with the chance to give feedback.Overall good experience, the manager is super sweet and I will come back.

I had previously had a not so positive experience with the Artistry about 9-10 months ago, but decided to give them another try, and was disappointed again.I had booked in to get my acrylic nails removed + builder gel set put on. I had checked prior to going in (via text message) that the acrylic nails were removed by soaking them in acetone. The salon is nice, and I managed to get in the same day I asked for an appt (I assume due to cancellation). The technician did a good job with shaping, buffing and gel application, however other aspects of the appointment were not so positive. However, when I got to the salon, the nail technician cut the ends of the acrylics off (which hurt) and then proceeded to dig in between the acrylic nails and the natural nail and rip off the acrylics - which not only hurts, but damages the nails, nail beds and cuticles immensely. The technician also cut my thumb whilst filing my nail and did not clean/sanitise the cut (or electric file equipment) or apologise. At the end, I spoke to the receptionist about how I had been informed that the acrylic nails should have been soaked off with acetone, as this is what I was told by their staff and I was extremely disappointed. I told her it is not my job to ensure her staff undertake proper nail care and that I expected more from a luxury pamper bar". She checked with her manager

So, this is a difficult one for me. I have been loyal to this business for years. I take my mum here, I have recommended the business to family and friends too. I have always attended my appointments, yet the business has cancelled on me on several occasions due to staff illnesses or unavailability. I have never complained and have always been flexible. I have also been very accomodating to times where the business has double booked or incorrectly booked a shorter time slot.Yet on the ONE and only occasion where I was unable to take my mum to an appointment due to car unavailability, the business owner showed zero flexibility and retained the $25 deposit saying I didn't provide the business with the 48hour notice.I'm not one to write and post negative reviews, but the fact that the business showed no flexibility whilst I have been extremely flexibile when they have given me less than 20mins notice, I find their behaviour extremely disrespectful. I appreciate business needs and challenges but I have never asked them to credit my account with $25 or compensate me for my impacting my day's plans, when they have had to cancel on extremely short notice. I have also experienced the team quote a design as basic, but when it came to payment, I was charged extra.Regardless, very one-sided, with no regard of loyalty. Disappointed with the business owner's poor ethics.

This place is exceptional, my lashes have never looked so good :) Today I got a wispy volume full set done and I’m so happy with the results, the glue is great quality and my lashes look thick, full and healthy which is exactly What I was going for. The lashes are also super light and comfortable I can’t even feel that I’m wearing them. Staff here are lovely, very friendly and professional. Overall a great place to get your lashes, eyebrows or nails done etc . Highly recommend these guys.

Had my nails done for my wedding and they were PERFECT!Only downside was the cost, I paid more than I ever have before ($170)But I will say, the time and care that went into them was amazing. If I didn’t have that I probably would of questioned it more.

Don’t bother making an appointment. They will ring and ask you to change it.I have been a loyal customer for over a year now. I made regular appointments and made sure to book well in advance. Closer to each appointment, I would receive phone calls asking me to change times and dates. I have also received multiple phone calls asking me to come earlier to suit the tech with one time being told to hurry after I said I would not be able to make it until my appointed time.A few weeks ago, I received a phone call explaining that the salon would be closing earlier and I would not be able to receive the service I had booked and paid a deposit for. I had to cancel my appointment because the only time they could offer was 2pm in a week’s time.Recently, I rang and confirmed my future appointments. The receptionist booked me in at new times and rolled my deposit over. Then today I was called yet again to be told that I won’t be able to have my appointment at 4:20pm because they now close at 4:30pm. This was an appointment that was made by the receptionist! This evening, they advertised appointments on their Instagram story with one being 4:45pm!It is frustrating for people who work full time and are willing to pay for a quality service and then are made to feel like they are in the wrong. No one should be told to hurry to their appointment. If for whatever reason the salon can’t fulfil a service they need to do better than only offering a midday service two weeks later. It is poor customer service. You need to do better.

If I was solely reviewing their nail / lash services, it would be a 5/5 but the waxing services were really disappointing.Nails - 5/5.So tidy and great colour selection. Comfy seats up at the bench. Didn’t take too long but there was no rushing or anything. Really great treatment and I’m booked in for an infill + pedi in a little while. The technician didn’t talk really the entire process either butLashes - 4/5I got a lash lift and tint. I’ve had these done for years and they’re my go to for beautiful natural looking lashes, especially if you can’t stand extensions like me. I’m always curious to get it done in new places to compare and this was a great treatment. Great result as always and would consider returning however the price was more than I’d usually pay for essentially the same treatment. Small touches I’ve loved in other salons was a blanket on the bed (it gets so cold lying there for such a long time) and the door being closed. It was open so even colder plus a bit noisy.Waxing - 2/5The waxing was an experience I’m really in no rush to repeat. I’ve not owned a razor in years and only wax now so have been to a fair few salons to find the right one. I booked a Brazilian, 1/2 leg, underarm and upper lip wax. We did the Brazilian first at my request because I always prefer to get the most uncomfortable part over first. I say uncomfortable but I’ve been getting waxed for so many years the hair is pretty thin and it isn’t overly uncomfortable or painful. This was. The wax was layered on extremely thickly in areas, I could feel how thick it was just as she was applying it. Not a clean removal due to how thick it was, it was still warm and not set in areas so would come off in parts. I was so close to just telling the waxer to stop the treatment as it was so uncomfortable which I’ve never done. She started my legs at the same time as the Brazilian doing part of my legs then going back to the Brazilian. No gloves were worn. Strip wax was used for part of the Brazilian which hasn’t been common practice in other places I’ve worked. Legs, underarm and lip wax were fine like no major dramas there. No conversation out of the waxer at all during the entire treatment. I’ve found that to be common in this salon (or at least the people I’ve had!) and I can totally understand some people want to work in silence or don’t feel like talking but considering how intimate a servicd it is plus seeing how uncomfortable your client is you’d think you’d maybe talk to distract or whatever. Other small things that I’ve noticed from getting waxed in other salons were the absence of wipes to clean yourself up before your wax (obviously you go in clean but I just find it more comfortable / courtesy to do it again), no towel to cover yourself with before treatment begins (again I get it you’re underdressed for the treatment but it just makes it more comfortable than waiting on the table completely exposed) and the wax table facing out towards the treatment room door. Considering they don’t provide a towel for some privacy, it was kind of hard to hide yourself from the main salon when opening the door to the room. They’re just a few little touches that I could think would improve the service. All in, it’s a beautiful salon. It’s busy. It’s popular. Decorated amazingly and just overall great aesthetic. Girls on reception are always friendly and you can see how they’ve managed to build such a successful business in The Hills. I would without hesitation return for my nails and pedi but would not revisit for any waxing services and I’m still undecided about my lashes purely based on price.
