Rey teaches martial arts in a fun way. He is able to find the balance in imparting the lesson but keeps it playful that makes my daughter want to continue

My son has been learning Aikido at Melbourne Budo for the last 12months. Rey is able to keep the class structured and moving at all times that keeps the children always engaged. The teachings from Aikido has also spilled over into my child’s focus at school. And this has been invaluable.I would highly recommend Thrive Budo to all parents.

Rey is a very experienced instructor with many years of teaching martial arts under his belt, he's also a family man with 2 young girls of his own who understands how to make the most out of lessons with young children.I can not rate him high enough, if you are looking to give your kids some needed exercise, social skills and self confidence then he is the teacher you want.

I have been taking my Kids to train with Sensei Rey since 2018 and my children have grown in confidence, matured in boldness and skill under the guidance of teacher/trainer/Sensei Rey. Such a safe, disciplined, family orientated community vibe here.My children are looking forward to getting back into it.

I love classes with Sensei Rey, who truly expresses the spirit of Aikido. The courses are challenging, fun and targeted to the student's current skill range. Unfortunately, too many martial arts teachers waste students' time. On the other hand, Sensei Rey's teaching ability makes students reach their higher potential faster. Having trained in different styles before training with Sensei, I was humbled by his prowess and extensive knowledge of martial arts.
