Hidden Gorge Trail

I love this loop! A beautiful range of biodiversity in such a peaceful setting.

Interesting 17km loop walk from Mambray Creek campground. Best to take the second turnoff to Hidden Gorge on the Mambray creek track, so you walk up the gorge, easier than walking down it. Lots of rock hopping on the water crossings and some rock clambering where the gorge walls have collapsed. Saw a snake and a goanna.

Nice walk through Hidden Gorge. We did it as a short day hike from Hidden Campsite but most people do the 17km loop from Mambray Creek. Make sure you come prepared with food and water, etc, as many people didn't seem to be. Plenty of creek crossing but they're fairly easy in Hidden Gorge. But with rain the ones on the way to Hidden Camp can be tricky and might need wading.

Challenging 17km hike with a total of 500 metres elevation gain with minor rock scrambling, great views along the ridge.
