Haven't been here since the early 70's as a kid, So we visited on our trip to the Barossa , and my wife has never been here. Very quiet, has not changed and it is free. What's not o like about that.

There is the dramatic view of water high above the gorge bottom. The unique acoustics of the dam gave it the Whispering Wall name and everyone is checking it's structural integrity by listening to sound travelling along. There are shaded seating, facilities, lawn and a small section of the gorge jutting out of it.It is safe.

A must see and do if you are here! So much fun to stay on both sides of the dam and whisper to each other!

Beautiful place to go aight seeing. Unless you have a picnic or packed lunch probably wouldn’t be spending too long here. But beautifully calming and serene.

Really cool, able to talk low but hear it clearly 200 m away. Worth a visit when in area.
