Staff doesn't seem to want to be there. Not interested in customers, just chatting amongst themselves. Seems weird for a high end department store. Anyway, David Jones is up for sale, 1.25Million dollars only. It deserves that price, just look at the people that work there. Meanwhile Myer is pulling itself out of a recession. Much better to shop there. Not overstaffed and staff are actually doing work.

I find when trying to call a store that the virtual assistant Ëlizabeth is not very helpful. It asks for a brand and then cannot find that brand and then transfers you to customer services and you are kept on hold for quite some time. This cannot be good for the company's reputation and results in people going elsewhere. People need to attend in person and may find that the product is no longer on sale or available. When there was a person at the end of the line it was a lot easier."

Went Sunday in April after visiting the zoo. We were dressed in comfortable casual gear. We were ignored at 3 cosmetics counters by talking staff , or back simply turned away from us, no better at homewares until we looked at wedgewood, after carefull appraisal of my daughter and I a reluctant, can I help you?My daughter was so disgusted,, we spent elsewhere and spent we did. Thanks for the lack of service.

I bought some bras today and was served by Monika, she was sooo helpful and knew her stuff, friendly great personality. She is an asset to the company. Thank you again Monika.

Was shopping for a gift for my partner, and was rudely told to move by staff and another customer when i was selecting an item of clothing from the rack. No apology. I felt like i was judged for being male and because i was male in the women's section, and i wasn't wearing an Armani suit. Very disapointed.

New centralised customer service contact number absolutely inadequate! Multiple calls made to store ended without speaking to an actual staff member- only interaction with a prerecorded voice! A reflection of staff cutbacks and a push for consumers to shop online! A disgrace!

Was on hold for 28 minutes waiting to be answered just to make a product enquiry before finally being answered by a central national call centre then promptly disconnected when she tried to get my call answered. David Jones is most certainly not the customer centric brand it once was. What a joke

Ok, everyone knows the DJ's is a very nice (and expensive) store, selling some very nice (and expensive) stuff.But have you ever visited the restrooms? I can't vouch for the men's, but the ladies is divine!Note first that they're called restrooms"
