Balingup Visitor Centre

This visitors centre has fairly limited opening hours. I was in Balingup recently on a Saturday and the rest of the town was very busy, but the visitors centre was closed. Also, I’ve emailed them for info in the past which they didn’t respond to.

Helpful staff in a quaint town.

I have never received the compassion and kindness as I did from Raeline.when I was upset and traumatised by an incident with a family member. She simply hugged me then set about getting me on a bus to Perth. Cannot thank her enough.

How disappointed we were today when visiting Balingup. Most of the shops in the main road were closed including the information centre which was suppose to be open. We were forced to do window shopping. Had it been open my wife would definitely have spent some money at the second hand store.

It's a beautiful and very unique Visitor centre.So much information left outside when they are closed.

I rang and booked a cottage with a fire place that was self contained as we wanted to have a bbq etc and paid over the phone, on the way we stocked up on everything at a supermarket for cooking etc...Rang on the way to confirm the booking to find out we had been given a room only in someone's house !!! and the visitor centre was closing at 3 pm. Rushed to get there to organise something else and arrived at 3.15 everything closed no one around.. the note on the door said to please ring the managers number of which we did at least 5 times and left messages etc...no response until 3 days later !It was pouring with rain so sat in the car ringing every possible accommodation with no luck...So we tried nannup and after another 8 calls finally found somewhere arriving in the dark.Not very happy about the service we recieved at all !!!

Nice experience- friendly, informative, chatty. Thanks to Lela, from whom we learnt lots about the area, and also met the Artist behind some of the souvenirs!

Always great to visit the Balingup Visitor Center, friendly service, lots of great information . I needed to buy local gifts to send to family overseas, so much to choose from.Thank you for making me feel so welcome.
