Brought my car in with a very bad vibration. Was quoted $7k to fix the transmission. I decided to take the car and not bother fixing it. I got a second opinion from another mechanic. What do you know!!! The problem was a $120 part. Avoid these crooks at all costs!!!

I dropped my car here on Thursday morning last week displaying a faulty transmission light (I had phoned them on the Wednesday and was told to bring it in first thing on Thursday morning).On Friday Morning I called just to try and find out if they had looked at the car yet and could tell me what was wrong and was told someone would call me back. By Friday evening no one had returned my call so I phoned again and was again told they were busy and would call me back. By Monday morning (4 days without a car now and still not even sure if they'd even looked at it) I hadn't heard from them so phoned for a third time and was told they would email me a report/quote and then call me to discuss.They emailed me a quote for $4200 to replace my transmission with only a 3 month warranty, or $5800 to replace it with a 2 year warranty, the email also said they would call me to discuss the quote. No one called me on the Monday...or the Tuesday....or the Wednesday...By this point I ended up calling a different mechanic and gave them BBE's quote. They told me the could do the same job with a 12 month warranty for $2750!!!! THREE GRAND LESS!!! They were also able to book me in for the following day and told me they would have my car fixed within 4 days. I went down to BBE today (a week now and still no one from there had even phoned me since dropping my car off) to get my car and take it elsewhere. They didn't even seem to care either.Honestly, i'd give this place less than 1 star if possible. Horrendous customer service and based on the huge difference in quotes, rip off merchants as well.Avoid this place!!!

Hit em up for a performance 4l60e transmission behind an LS1 two weeks before Christmas, built and and shipped very fast at a good price and built with great parts. Put in the car and puts power down like a dream. Highly recommended

Sam fixed my car, no charge.I can't ask for more than that!BBE has always been known as the place to go where the prices are cheaper cos they don't rip customers.My problem was small and I drove away 20 minutes later. All fixed.Only local mechanic I trust

Our car broke down nearby, we are from country Victoria and had no local knowledge. Sam and the team were amazing, RACV towed the car to their workshop in the morning and the car was repaired and ready to go in the afternoon on a Friday. Outstanding service.

I should have written this review months ago. In August, I was helping my friend's local business by doing some deliveries as they had closed during COVID. I drove through the Elwood canal and dislodged my splash shield under my Mazda 3. It was 4:45pm on a Friday afternoon. I called BBE and they fixed it on the spot, staying past 5pm, and refused to charge me. I'd never been there before and they didn't know me but they helped me out. This is good people!

As a mechanic I purchased a rebuilt transmission and staff was so helpful with the rectification of the minor issue I had their advice was an instant fix car has never ran better. I will be using this business again and the price is damn good was only a fairly priced labour charge ontop of what it would of cost me to do myself highly recommend BBE Automatics for your next transmission replacement and if you happen to near by for all your mechanical needs. Brillant service and highly knowledgeable thanks again guys.

Offered to look at my car despite being very busy. Explained the issue over the phone. Offered me a few options. Made the repairs the same day. Car is back to its old self.
