Getaway Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove has been managing the rental of our property in Barwon Heads for a number of years. Marisa, the owner, consistently provides an excellent level of service for us as owners and our guests. We were hesitant when we first transitioned from holiday home to holiday rental, but Marisa’s knowledge and professionalism made the process seamless for us. Highly recommend this business.

I am not sure what kind of business this is - perhaps it is a part time job - but I have been extremely disappointed with the service. They didn't respond to email or phone calls. When I logged an inquiry, they didn't send any kind of confirmation email. Interestingly, they were very quick to respond via Airbnb, suggesting that their own system is poor. When they finally contacted me via their own site, they jacked up the price from the quoted price. When I questioned this, they didn't answer.If these people are managing your property, I would find someone who is competent. Long delays will kill your profits in a world where people can use booking.com, wotif, stayz, airbnb and any number of competent local agents. I chose another property managed by a competent business.

We had a terrible experience with Getaway Rental Barwon heads. We initially booked a property through AirBnB for Ocean Grove. The booking was declined stating that they had accidentally left the winter rates on and the price was too cheap. I thought that was unprofessional, but asked that we come to an arrangement. I was advised to go through their business website to do so. I did this a couple days later after discussions with family. It was placed at 4:45pm the day before travel, and I received no correspondence. I called at 10am the day of travel and they advised that it’s too short notice so they have to decline. If they were managing my property I would feel let down by the fact they would rather have it sat there empty making no income than accommodate for their mistake.
