BRILLIANT SERVICE ALL THE WAYWas hunting for new dining chairs and stumbled across Icon By design in Richmond.Right from entering the store, the service was excellent. Jayce considered our issues, carefully reviewed the photos we'd taken and then suggested a range of chairs that would fit in with the overall dining room theme.There was no pressure to buy and we were referred to the company website for additional ideas and fabric, wood combinations.Purchased the next day with a simple phone call and a couple of weeks later our new chairs arrived. The delivery guys were very careful and took away the protective wrapping to save us having to recycle it ourselves.While browsing on the website, we also found a bookshelf that nicely complemented the theme. It got delivered together with the chairs. the delivery guys sent sms updates with arrival time estimation which was really helpful.

The in-store experience at the Richmond Icon by Design was fantastic. Unfortunately we had some bad luck with communication around delivery and a faulty chair, but the actual delivery team on the day was amazing. So a bit of a roller-coaster ride but worth it in the end.We visited the store back in June. The staff were friendly, patient and very helpful, offering advice about which colours and styles would best suit our home.I'd just give a heads up to Victorian buyers that, due to the border closures, delivery might be delayed even after the courier has asked you to confirm the delivery window via a text. Given the pandemic, delays are understandable but I'd suggest that the communication around delays could be improved.We received a call during the delivery window and we were told that our furniture wouldn't arrive today because was still was still in NSW, and they didn't know when it would arrive in Victoria. Unfortunately we had already dissembled our furniture.. leaving us without a bed and table for a week while the furniture traveled to us from NSW.We were very happy when it arrived and the delivery team went above and beyond helping us. We then noticed that one of the chairs had a split in it and wasn't safe to sit in. I'd seen some of the other reviews mentioning faulty products and had tried to inspect the furniture but we missed this crack as it was underneath the chair. I've uploaded it so others know what to look out for, however rare these faults may be. We requested a replacement, which arrived a week later, so we now have the full set.We would have loved to have given 5 stars if it wasn't for bad luck we had with communication around the delay and the faulty chair - but the furniture itself it beautiful.

Good experience with purchasing the Jonas display shelf with drawers. Well made, no rough work, good quality and design, looks great. Delivery time and customer service was fine. Two thumbs up Icon By Design!

This is a very sturdy and beautiful piece of furniture. It's not cheap. But it is well worth paying this amount. It is made of very beautiful solid oak wood. It's very different from the furniture you buy at a cheap furniture store. If I have more money, I would like to change all the rest of the furniture to icon by design.

Icon By Design is the friendliest company I have ever purchased from. I did a video call with their Melbourne showroom, which I found very helpful. The extension table I purchased is functional, well designed and very well made.

I cannot express how happy I am that I stumbled upon your website and purchased this table and chairs. They are such good value for money considering how expensive solid oak tables of this length can be. Also the service was great and I appreciated the phone call before to arrange a convenient shipping day for me.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER!! PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY... I purchased 8 dining chairs, they had one on display that I really liked. It had a matt finish and I chose black material seat covers. My chairs turned up. 6 chairs were a gloss finish and 2 we're the matt finished that I ordered. I called straight away to make them aware. I was told to take photos and customer service will respond. I recieved a standard response. I returned to the store to physically show them the difference between the chairs. The manager identified they were different and suggested I walk around the store and I pick out 6 matt chairs to match the matt finish look I wanted. Which they had non, that's why they had to be ordered in the first place. I left 2 chairs there to make sure they knew which is the correct matt finish. and asked if he could order me the correct 6 chairs. I was told the manger Amy will call me, but she was sick that day so it will have to wait until she's better. NEVER recieved a call. I drove back to the shop again 2 weeks later. I was told someone will get back to me. NO response. I ended up taking my husband with me to help me get this all sorted as it was causing me stress. 4 months this went on.They are not cheap chairs. Once again, no one had any authority in the store to resolve this. They act all nice with service when you walk in, let me tell you, when the product that you ordered turns up and its incorrect. Good luck trying to get anyone of the staff to have the issue resolved. I am stuck with 2 matt finish chairs (THATS CORRECT) and 6 gloss chairs that don't match. So disappointed. What a waste of alot of money. Photos clearly show you the difference. See attached.

I was absolutely blown away by the amazing customer service provided to me when deciding which products to purchase. Because I don't live in a city with an Icon by Design showroom, I was finding it difficult to visualise which dining table and chair combinations would look good together and be the best size-wise as well. Cara was so great in that she took the time to put together various combinations of dining tables and chairs in the showroom and then emailed me photos of these displays so I could get the best possible idea of what they looked like. Cara also provided me with in depth information about the products which assisted me in choosing the right pieces for me. Cara was so patient, informative and just so amazingly helpful!My order was then delivered with no issues and I was truly impressed with my stunning dining chairs, dining table and entertainment unit. They all looked of such high quality, with beautiful finishes and matched the theme of my home perfectly.I've now owned my pieces for almost a year and am still obsessed with them all! What a great experience from a wonderful business that I’m sure I will purchase from again! Thankyou!

Extremely happy with our purchase of the Nestor dining chairs. Icon by design had the perfect design to suit our home and dining table with such a unique look and build quality that separates their chairs from others.Customer experience was great, Steven from Richmond looked after us and helped provide great ideas and tips for furniture selection. We even had a delivery issue and Anita from customer service contacted us within a day and we had the issue sorted.
