Ruffey Trail Suspension Bridge
Pretty big suspension bridge that goes across the river we rode past it on our bike towards Heidelberg but we didn’t get to cross the bridge. Think it was pretty busy at the time. Looks interesting thou so next time we will walk across it.

A great suspension bridge in local area. Nice walking trails around the bridge. Water flowing under the bridge, a quiet and beautiful place to be.

Best place in Melbourne to see a platypus! Aslo a spot of fishing (eels) and duck feeding. Starting point for some lovely walks through Westerfolds Park too.

Ruffey Trail Suspension Bridge
The bridge is a old swing bridge and it’s quite narrow so they ask you to walk your bike across as a bike and person really need to squeeze past, their are great views of the river from the middle of the bridge, one end of the bridge is a park and BBQ area the other end is a bike trail and private aboriginal lands . You can get off the bridge and play in the river below as the water is often shallow

Feeling good when crossing the bridge, underneath is Yarra River. This is one of the attractions in this area.

There are nice walks nearby and the view from the bridge is beautiful...that's a good spot to see platypus! ;-)

Ruffey Trail Suspension Bridge
A very narrow suspension bridge. Very quaint. Wonder how people could have passed each other if they were carrying goods in years gone by. It could have been awkward. This is the stuff of fairytale Billy goats and trolls. Makes for a fine photo. Yes it does sway but ever slightly.
