Tabor College

This is the best place to study Primary Education! I am currently in my 4th year, and I have had so much support from the Tabor team to pursue my dreams, as well as fit study around my life. The lecturers not only have extensive knowledge in their subjects, but they provide us with opportunities to engage in the learning with hands-on activities, just as if we were a student in a classroom! I have a great relationship with all of the staff - who bend over backwards for everyone, and are extremely personable. My lecturers have particularly been amazing in helping me in their own time with any assignments that I have been struggling with, and have offered so much support, and are so compassionate and understanding. The library staff have helped me many a time with assignment resources, and the Professional Experience office bend over backwards to give me the best placement opportunities, that are close to my location, and at a school of my preference! Tabor give us placement opportunities almost immediately, which gave me so much confidence, for I knew that I didn't have to do 3 years of study to realise that teaching in a classroom wasn't actually for me. From the extensive amount of placement opportunities, I have had not only part time job opportunities given to me from the schools that I visited, but so many schools say to me that they prefer Tabor students and graduates because we are so much more prepared and equipped with skills for teaching over other universities. After teaching for a few years, I already know that I want to come back to Tabor for either a Counselling or Masters of Teaching degree!

Read for a Masters in Counselling here, then went on to have a counselling practice of my own. I retired and chose to come back to Tabor to study for a Masters in Creative Writing. I came back to Tabor because I had enjoyed my Counselling Masters so much. The staff of both degrees are experienced practitioners, friendly, they go out of their way to learn your name and they treat you as a valued peer, not just a student number. Tabor is a non-denominational Christian institution, I'm not Christian, but I am treated with no less respect than any of my peers who do have faith. I highly recommend studying at Tabor; I can't rate it highly enough

Will kick you out if you’re unvaccinated! Had to transfer universities, however provided a really good educational experience, the staff are very personable, and students are allowed to express beliefs.Would recommend if you’re vaccinated and prefer a small class size however if you prefer medical freedom, cheaper school fees (my public uni course fees are way cheaper) and anti-discrimination policies to protect you at the place of study than go main stream!

As a student here I feel that Tabor College is a great environment in which to learn and grow! Would highly recommend studying here. Lecturers and staff all seem to care deeply about us students.

I have just finished my Bachelor of Counselling and I am already enrolled for my Master's. Although, I love learning and personal development, it is the journey at Tabor and the awesome staff, that make it all worth doing.

I am currently finishing the last subjects of my Bachelor of Music at Tabor and am constantly blown away by the care and compassion the staff have for the students. I don't feel like just one in the crowd. I am known and appreciated as I am and encouraged to pursue higher understanding in every subject I have. I can proudly say that I will graduate when I never saw it as a possibility for myself.

Earlier this year I had the inspiration to become a Primary School teacher and so I had to start this journey by doing my STAT test, applying for University and enrolling. I reached out to tabor and they helped me straight away, they had me enrolled within one day! The staff members have been excellent in helping me feel welcome and ready for my studies.

A meticulously maintained, heritage listed building and garden. Beautiful library and student cafe provide students with the learning environment they need. Social sport, a caring professional staff team, a well established Christian community … what more could a uni student hope for ?

Tabor is an exceptional blend of high quality tertiary education with a close-knit community feel. It’s large enough to have adequate resources and quality lecturers, but not so large that you are just another enrolment in the system or a faceless student. I’ve felt very supported by the staff at Tabor.

Tabor College is an amazing University to study at! I am always amazed at how welcoming and friendly not only the students at Tabor are, but also the staff! The staff at Tabor are so passionate and seeing their students succeeding and have I have that personally. As someone who struggles mentally at times, Tabor has been very accommodating with helping me still get studies done through those harder times, it’s been crucial for my studying journey! I wouldn’t want to study anywhere else! PLUS the campus is beautiful. Highly recommend!
