If I could give this place 0 I would. Steak sandwiches were fine but clearly an order hadn’t arrived so we had to listen to the cook swear and absolutely abuse the person on the other end. My friend did say excuse me but everyone can hear you, so he then proceeded to abuse her in the most disgusting manner. I did feel that a apology was necessary but I think the locals must think it’s the norm.

The room was ok for us as we were just staying overnight and we like supporting small outback towns and businesses. The hotel service was bad and unfriendly with no atmosphere. The meals were nothing to write home about. Disappointed.

Quite little country pub with TAB and bistro. Great steak Sanger and chips for $15. 13/8/22. Great value.Attached bottle shop.

The sausages and veg for dinner was a good meal, but I'm afraid the accommodation is expensive and pitifully substandard. The old and tired air-conditioner barely made a dent on the 39 deg C outside temperature. There is no bed lamp. Cleanliness is perfunctory. (Just to mention a few points.) I am a regular through traveller, and I would stay in Julia Creek more often if the accommodation was better!

We have just had lunch at this hotel and were horrified to overhear the cook yelling and shouting and swearing on the phone to a supplier. When I pointed out to him that customers could hear him he started to direct the same verbal abuse at me. As we left l attempted to tell this cook that I have never before been spoken to like this, he started again to verbally abuse me. There was no apology from management who witnessed it. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, and will have bad memories of our time in Julia Creek.

Imagine an operating theatre disguised as a pub. Food was fine but this place has zero ambiance. For a country pub it’s completely soulless.

I thought this places was a beautiful place to have a drink and a feed. But i was totally wrong. The old lady behind the bar, likes to spread false rumours about young girls she doesn't like.Totally disgusted in the service from this place.

Pulled up in the afternoon, well priced cold beers, power outage and no back up generater? It's 2023! Booked a room and it was fine, the shower was bloody awesome with water pressure, well needed and appreciated after a long ride. Due to power outage the kitchen was half an hour behind but that didn't stop the Chef from knocking out top notch meals, Burgers, Steaks and alike all came out looking 100%! Credit to him, I had the Pork Chops and veg and was about the best I'd had in a very long time, if your looking for somewhere to stop for the night and a great meal, highly recommend here. Cheers

Was ignored at the counter for 10 minutes while trying to order dinner. Staff were more focussed on serving those at the TAB terminal, then taking dinner orders.Really disappointing when country towns are crying out for patronage and then choose gambling dollars over that of a traveller who wants a drink and a meal.Staff purposely walked away at 5.55 pm from the bar and came back at 6.01 to avoid the happy hour prices. Would recommend the Top Pub instead.
