Ida's Alterations

This is my go to alteration shop whenever i need my suit altered for special events. Ive recently got my suit altered and as always, met my satisfaction. Ida, the lady who alters, is a sweet person and gets the job done in no time. Highly recommend this place!

I don't know what these other reviews are but this has got to be one of the best places I have ever been to. There is a very nice old lady that works in the shop and she is just amazing at her job. If you need anything done thats the place to be

I had read the reviews and many of them were negative. I decided to give it a try and Ida did exceptional work hemming by son's school trousers. Reasonable price and extremely quick service. (she mostly does it on the spot or come back in 30 mins) Local Dry Cleaners said it would be more expensive and take 1 - 1.5 weeks. I would definitely return Thanks, Ida

I feel sorry to post bad review. But I think it's better to avoid this place. Asked for invisible hemming for my dress. And it came out with (almost) invisible alteration but many visible damages. I'm also surprised that she used black yarn on navy dress... I'm afraid the lady might not be able to see well because of her age or insufficient lighting at the shop?? Otherwise how she could not realise the hundreds of damages she has made on the dress? However, this review is for the service I got last year so hopefully she's doing better now. 残念ながらオススメできません。

I left 3 dresses to be hemmed and 3 pair of pants to be shortened. She did the most shocking job on all of them. These were all expensive Max Mara dresses and trousers. Hems were crooked. The linings were caught in the hem or the seam. She used bright blue overlock thread on a $700 black dress which would be visible when i sit or cross my legs. But the hem was also totally crooked on this dress so I'll have to have it redone anyway. She actually cut the fabric on the hem line on another and the only way to fix this will be to take it somewhere else and have it rehemmed - only shorter than I wanted this very expensive dress. The hems on 3 of the dresses and pants pucker. I will have to have 5 of the 6 items redone. The 6th item isn't good but tolerable. This isn't a lack of ability. Its a total slapdash job without any pride at all in the quality of the her work.

I wish I read the reviews before I came to this place. I saw a beautiful material which the old little lady said she would tailor a dress too my body. Told me it's expensive material which I thought to be true as it had Gucci symbols. She told me that she been doing dress making for years . In particular wedding dresses.The dress looks like a bloody sack which my 7year old daughter could have done. Poor stitching work. It cost $200....felt absolutely annoyed that I got hoaxed by this women hook line and sinker. . DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PERSON.

She’s so amazing, quick and reasonably priced!!Over a year ago there was another alteration place close to her shop, that got thei friends to flood her with false & negative reviews.She’s so sweet & genuine! Shame on people for leaving fake reviews.I’ve been coming here for 6 years now and she always does the job perfectly.

I had two Hugo Boss suits tailored (trousers hemmed and jacket sleeves shortened). One of the jackets came back with holes in the sleeves from where they had been hastily unpicked (hole in fabric) to the point where I can’t wear the jacket. The rest of the tailoring was poor quality, uneven and with lots of miscoloured and visible stitching.While I was given a refund for the tailoring, I am still down many hundreds of dollars on the ruined suits.Recommendation: Strongly avoid

Did a good job in a relatively short time. Reasonably priced too.
